Mira Costa, Palomar, etc. Spring 2019 Cohort

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone,

I know it's early, but I wanted to start a thread for everyone applying or hoping to apply for any ADN programs (Mira Costa, Palomar, Grossmont, SCC, MSJC, etc.) in the Spring!

Feel free to post questions, potential points, admission notifications, etc.! I'm super anxious to hear everyone's experiences and compare points! :)

Hi guys. I applied to Grossmont, Palomar, and Mira Costa for Spring 2019. I have 86 for Mira Costa and 84 for GM/Palomar. I have a 4.0, 88 for the TEAS, but I don't have any volunteering/CNA. I feel like September is going to be a very long month as we wait for the notifications to go out. I am wondering when Palomar sends theirs out? If you know, please let me know :)

aminahflor, did you ever find out what the official average points ended up being for Mira Costa? :)

I submitted my applications on Monday!

My official points at Mira Costa are 87, and 86 for Palomar..

Mallory did mention the average, she said the applicants are getting more cut throat every semester... HOWEVER, she told me that my points are great, and may or may not get me in.

She said I can call once the application filing period has ended for the "official" average points

They're applications aren't due until Friday so I'll call her on Monday or Tuesday :)

I am so nervous! I am applying with 86 - 87 points. My points would have been 90 - 91 but its my company's policy not to write letters stating hours I work. Which makes me super sad.

We have the same point total!

Fingers crossed :)

Hi guys! I applied to Mira Costa and Palomar with a score of about 85. I'm so nervous for their response. October can't come soon enough. Good luck to you all!

Oh that's right! Thank you aminahflor :) I am curious to know but at the same time I don't want to know lol

They will most likely tell me "90-95" because they always do.... Our saving grace is if people don't take their seats & give them up for lower point students like us í ½í¸‚

she told me the same thing with my 85 points!

thanks aminahflor! I really hope we can make it this round! :)

So I emailed Mallory, and she said the top 20 students this semester had 93-100 points... :(

Awwww I want to cry :( Thanks for checking for us though. I guess my only hope is being invited as an alternate but I have a feeling low 90's will be alternates. Dangit
