Frightening. Hope ya'll are o.k......
The OP mentioned 'shift change'; apparently this occurred shortly after 6pm .
MSNBC just interviewed a witness who told of a nurse driving on the bridge who was assisting the victims.
The one good thing about this is that 2 of the 4 lanes were closed; it was bumper-to-bumper as it was... it could have been far worse.
Hi everyone,
I live in the Minneapolis Area, as far as I know, I do not know of anyone that was involved in this terrible event.
However, I do know several people who use that bridge daily, a few evenings ago, my friend was on his boat on the river below with his kids.
My thoughts are with everyone and their families involved.

What a horrific thing to happen. Our sympathy to all those involved be they victim, EMS, fire service or hospital personal. So far, only one confirmed fatality but just looking at the live pictures, that seems destined to change. My immediate thought was "shift change at 7" - I hope too early for medical workers to be on their way to work, and too early for the others to be on their way home. I hope that's true.
Please let us know how you all are.....
