i was offered a job as a military nurse. but before that i have to survive the rigorous 8 month training!
so what do you think? should i pursue it? during the 8 month long training we are not allowed to leave the camp's premises or even allowed to have contact with the outside world no cellphones no internet. I really want to take advantage of the opportunity but, 8 months without contact with your friends and family? i think its hard. as of the moment i'm still pondering, should i take it or let it go? please give me your insights. thanks
In my case I waited for 4 months before they contacted me to take the exam. The exam will be composed of all types of exam: matching type, analogy, identification and etc. Expect that there will be an NCP like pain, hypertesion and lung problems. I forgot there will be a pathophysiology of different diseases. Goodluck!
You can call them up or visit their office to follow up your application. The thing is, don't be assured that someone says they'll contact you to let you know if you passed or fail. Have the initiative to know...at least they'll be aware that you're really interested in the position. Can't hurt to ask, right?
you should be not more than 25 years old for them to consider you.forbeisgunn: i think you should go directly to v luna and ask them personally
hi brigz, it seems to me that you have lots of ideas in applying as military nurse. On that case, I'd like to ask something. I'm suppose to endorse by my dad's friend, a retired general who have worked in procurement dept. at v.luna hospital, and I've already submitted my requirements but don't have yet final decision if i'll go ahead the said training. Can you please give me some idea on how things goes around in training? I don't want to have further regrets though once I'm in. I'm really desperate looking for a training hospital and hired me afterward. I bet it would be really hard for someone not to get a hold of your family in 8 months.
If i'll go ahead accept the offer, am i going to be transferred to another military base hospital not in v.luna itself? And my dad told me that the contract will cover three years, do you think this is fair enough? Has anybody here undergone the military training? How was it? I'm getting confused. Was it really hard not to get a hold of your family? Even just for a single thing, I'm really worried about this. Any thoughts in here? :sstrs:Please...please....u gotta help me to find a way out...Thanks so much!!!
Last time I've heard, the nurse corps quota has been met many months ago. However applications are still being accepted... I suppose for pooling.
@ phaneenrix
Expect to be rotated to various settings just like ordinary military personnels for a nurse corps is a military personnel. Of course, you are not going amidst the battlefield...
As for the fairness of the three-year contract, fairness can be subjective. Just think that many others are looking for work and you who have it and not appreciate it is just unfair.
i just called @ camp aguinaldo, and inquire about the nurse corp.
To be an applicant for nurse corp.,you need to have a board rating of 80% and above. But if you are a military dependent meaning your parent/s are on military you can apply even if you have a below 80 board rating then you'll need to pass their special written exam.
