i was offered a job as a military nurse. but before that i have to survive the rigorous 8 month training!
so what do you think? should i pursue it? during the 8 month long training we are not allowed to leave the camp's premises or even allowed to have contact with the outside world no cellphones no internet. I really want to take advantage of the opportunity but, 8 months without contact with your friends and family? i think its hard. as of the moment i'm still pondering, should i take it or let it go? please give me your insights. thanks
.maybe they found out from some sort of study that majority of aspiring females do not qualify for the height requirement. if you really want to get in the military, why not try to apply in the NC reserve force? the height requirement for males is 5'2". the training is only during weekends, for 6 months. total of 25 days, plus you don't ahve to sacrifice your life as a civilian. you'll be in an on-call status, you get to keep your civilian job.
how can I apply as reserve force.thnx
it depends on what branch of service you want to belong. army, navy, air force and the last w/c is the technical service wherein the Nurse Corps and other units for other professions such as engineers, physicians, vets, lawyers etc. belong.
if you have already have undergone ROTC back in college, you no longer have to undergo the 6 month training that i mentioned earlier. if you want to be commissioned in the army, air force or navy (marines) try to contact the reserve commands of these major branches. but if you want to be in the nurse corps reserve, try to contact the (TSRG)technical service reserve group office at AFPRESCOM located at Camp Aguinaldo. im not sure if I am allowed to post the phone number of the office here.
yes.

i find it cool!
nope, i don't think they care about those.hehe when i passed my credentials, they separated the trainings and seminars and gave it back to me.haha!! don't lose hope, I myself waited for months before i had my license. took the june 2008 NLE and had my license last Feb 2009. haha! unfortunately for me, i failed my exam last april.tsk.. tsk.. then i was told that i can do the retake. but i did not come back.hehe it was just this month that i thought of taking the exam again..
maybe you can just tell the secretary that you don't still have your license.. instead show her your claim stub... but make it sure that you already have your certificate of passing as well as your board rating.. xerox it all along with your TOR, Diploma ..oifcourse you have to bring your resume..
The age limit of military nursing I think will be 29 years old or 26 years old.. maybe try to look at their website at nursecorps.net. I just got passed the entrance exam.. PM me for tips..haha.. Goodluck guys!!!:D:D
