Military nursing

Published

i was offered a job as a military nurse. but before that i have to survive the rigorous 8 month training!

so what do you think? should i pursue it? during the 8 month long training we are not allowed to leave the camp's premises or even allowed to have contact with the outside world no cellphones no internet. I really want to take advantage of the opportunity but, 8 months without contact with your friends and family? i think its hard. as of the moment i'm still pondering, should i take it or let it go? please give me your insights. thanks

robocop.. it's the santolan mrt station.. just a few steps to Crame.. and just tell the guard there that you will going to apply at the chief nurse office.. better go in a corporate attire because when they see you wearing a pants the lady in charge in their will just tell you to come back for tomorrow .. Like what happened to us with my friend.. hahaha...

oh sorry, its MRT station robocop..

oh, thanks cathy! yes, i passed the exam for the second try..hehe..Most of the questions were major nursing subjects with different art of questioning so it could be all computations to name a few.Honestly, for me computations were really hard and I almost leave them behind because i couldnt find the right answers. But i decided to guess it instead..Some of the questions are really tricky and it's like a puzzle that you have to solve intuitively..Cathy, are you december '08 board passer? Its a great help if you still have fresh nursing knowledge and you dont have to review anything anymore especially when it comes to theory..Actually, when they told me the date of my retake i just had 1 week preparation and i spent it solving lots of difficult computations at home..Thus, on the day of my verdict i was kinda prepared in computations only..lol..I was shocked when i saw plenty of solving problems..And i think it's almost half of the total percentage of the exam..whew! Thank God, it paid off!Anyway, questions may vary depending on the set of questions they will give to you.. You're lucky if most of the questions are easy.. Goodluck..

hi cathybedrio! i passed the requirements last october but i dont have a hard license yet so i went back last november and then they told me that my schedule of exam would be on november 11.But after 3 weeks of waiting i found out that i failed the initial exam. Then they told me that i would have my second exam on december 10 last year.I still took the exam for the second time and luckily i passed!! And now, after several months of waiting they told me that my interview will be on last week of may or june..Its really hard because you cant even apply to any job opportunities (if any) if you're enthusiastic in this crap.Just adding more patience in waiting for the upcoming interview. This will be my first ever interview thats why im so nervous and worried especially on my english skills..

so it cud really take that long? wah! i passed mine last april 23 and had my exam on the 27th. was ur exam 100 items or the short one? coz i noticed that d other applicants had a different type of exam.

so if i fail i will still be given another exam? :D glad to hear that, coz i'm really anxious about what the result wud gonna be.. hehe they told us to call the office after 2 weeks for the result. is weekend included in counting? hehe still clueless... hope we all pass.. c u der! :D

032987, what? half of the questions are computations? guess that I'm a slow regarding to math computations.. that's my biggest weakness.. haha.. If it is really meant for me then maybe I'll pass it. guess that i have to study again.. :banghead::banghead::banghead:..... I'm almost a bum for almost 6 months as of now .. yep I'm a November 08 board passer. i'm bored.. I need a job! LOLs..hahaha.. thanks 032987.. God Bless

yes, which depends on the workload of the checker..hehe..because she/he check it manually..Actually,my first exam was short but then I failed..The second exam i took was 100 items.I think it was far more easier than the first one except the computations!!lol..As far as i know, you could only call the office during weekdays..Maybe it depends on your result if you're still qualified to retake the exam..Anyway, do you know the passing rate? Is it 80 or 75?

there are two sets of exam.. i had infos before that if you got 80 or above in the NLE, you get to have the short exam. if below 80, you will have to take the 100 item exam. does your 1st exam had 5 point essay and 5 point NCP? im not sure about the passing rate but i heard that it's 80 for the long one. i saw the answer sheet of that exam, there's enumeration, essay, computation, identification, multiple choice... im not sure what else is included. was there also an NCP?

do you know if they have reserved officers in the nurse corps? any idea of how to apply?

so I need to take the long type of exam?... haha.. Okay then so be it...May the force of the God be with you always! hope that the result will be positive !!!

Hello,

I'd like to know if anyone has started training this year. I completed all my requirements last April and I'm still waiting for my next interview.

Hello! Has anyone here already got a confirmation from NC for the start of training?

I really want to be a military nurse I have the skills and knowledge but I lack the height. I am only 5'2 male and after reading an article from the phil star http://www.philstar.com/Article.aspx?articleId=440288 I feel that I can pass their height requirement for both male and female which is 5 ft. But I still wonder why the height requirement for female has already changed to 5ft. (the fact that my classmate in college was already completing her requirement like cert of singleness etc. after passing the exam which stands at exact 5ft.) and the height requirement for male still doesn't changed.
