piquant, you could request your Class ranking with GWA or general weighted average from your school registrar.

hello! ms lenjoy03, I have been reading this thread for awhile. I'm really interested in working at MMC. Just want to know if the only way to get hired is to join the CETN program or one could also pass his/her application directly for a staff nurse position? And may I know if they are currently accepting applicants for CETN or staff nurse? Thank you ms lenjoy03.

hello! bryanbogz, I wish I could be of much help but I still couldn't send pm because I'm a newbie here. Need to have more than 15posts I guess for me to send you a private message. Neither could I post the number. You may try looking for the contact at their website. It is posted there on their directory. I tried calling a couple of times though, I just can't get into their HR line. So I might just have to go there personally and hand my applications. I'm from Cavite and I do really hope they are already accepting applications. Anyways, our dear friend here eosinophil just confirmed that st. luke's is really hiring. Good luck and God Bless!

hello! to forumjunkie, just an info to share with you. I called ASIAN this first week of August and they informed me that they are not accepting applications as of the moment. I'm not sure though if they would be open again for applications this September. But you could always try to contact them.

Hello! *Eosinophil* thanks for sharing! I am planning to pass my application by next week. Have you contacted them already and confirmed any specific date as to when are they going to accept applications this September? I tried calling though for a couple of times yesterday and today but their HR line was always busy. Anyway, thank you so much for that info. God Bless!

Actually it is not a requirement to render volunteer service. But unfortunate as it is and with the retrogression present, almost all hospitals are on freeze hiring. And most inexperienced nurses resort to volunteer work just to have the opportunity to practice their nursing skills. To add up, volunteering is not as easy as listing one's name on the volunteers list. You have to go through with the same application process for a staff position and beat the thousands who aspire to render free service. Sad but true. Not enough opportunities for all the nurses and their families who worked hard just to put them to nursing schools and upon finally passing the board just to end up being unemployed. Not that I have something against volunteering. It is a noble thing to do but it becomes tainted when most of those who volunteers do not have much of a choice and when hospitals are taking advantage of the situation.

Hospitals Open for Hiring
if you took the BLS course only, the certificate lasts for a year and you have to renew it again the following year. But if you took the BLS and First Aid course you may renew it after 2yrs. With the renewal of BLS, as far as I know, you do have to take the course again with Red Cross. I hope I answered your questions.

Saudi- MOH
hello! Just a piece of advice to all those who are interested to work in Saudi Arabia, I sincerely believe that it will be better if you apply directly to POEA because most of the agencies recruit nurses for private hospitals. Many of these private hospitals offer smaller salary packages and longer contract which could be a minimum of 3yrs. I once worked there in a private hospital while I was with my family using a dependent visa. I met friends who were recruited by agencies and sadly, most of the packages that were promised to them while they are in the Philippiines were not realized when they reached Saudi Arabia. So just be very skeptical about the contract and the packages they are offering. God Bless!
