Ashley,
From what I heard, you have till the university deadline to apply for it and I am sure that is in August.

Are you still looking for a roommate for the fall?

Hi everyone. For those of you all already in the program - do you have clinicals at Medical Center of Plano? I heard that maybe you do... I hope so... I live real close to that hospital.
Hi Alum08,
i didn't get in so i will ask my roommate who got in but i doubt...it seem so far away from witchita. I thought you got in already from the previous post.

To those in their 3rd, 4th, and 5th semesters,
I was just wondering about the book and equipment prices for the aforementioned semesters. I'm still a little bit in shock over the 6-8 books and equipment needed just for basic and the cost about $600 just for that one class which will bring my book total for Fall 2010 to about $1,000. I wanted to know if we should expect this amount for 3rd, 4th, and 5th semester. Oh, also considering taking Nursing Research and whatever other classes I can for next summer to reduce the course load for 3rd, 4th and 5th semesters, is this doable?
You may want to look into renting your textbooks!
Alum 08,
Not sure if renting the books would be a reasonable option...We've been told on numerous occassions by the upper classmen that we need to make sure to save the nursing books for other classes in the nursing program, not sure how much truth there is to that yet though..To reduce the cost I have been using Amazon, but again not sure if that would shoot me in the foot for Basic..
lili jo,
No longer looking for a roommate, sorry about that...there are other posts on here about people who know how to get into reduced apartments, also the apartments looked nice on campus from what I've seen so far and they do pair you with a roommate, not sure how that process works though...
Has anyone gotten anything from Midwestern State? I haven't gotten anything since the acceptance letter. I suupose we will get a packet at orientation.
You won't get anything further unless it is a general admission into the Midwestern. I know its weird, but for me personally I was accepted into Wilson Nursing Department, and then make sure to be admitted to general admissions..also you will get a folder at Orientation and will have a checklist..which will tell you which shots you need, that you need to get CPR certified, etc, there are many other things that are required, that is all I can think of off the top of my head, you will have a set amount of time to get everything completed and handed into Nancy (Make sure to knock out everything ASAP, because without that folder being turned in, you will not progress into Second semester...
hey guys! I was wondering how yall are preparing for the upcoming semester. Do we have to send in our immunization record and have the background testing done before the orientation?
