I will pray for all of you guys. SO MUCH is going on right now. And by the way some of you type, your dialect indicates that yall are international students, probably African, correct me if I'm wrong and it's hard for those students. I just wish you all the best of success. Don't let these people fool you. Keep your faith in God, stay strong, focused, and get out and be the best RNs you can be. If you all need help with anything, I will be of assistance the best way I can.

Ahhha Prettyladie On my case you are right but if you see any mistake on typing sometimes it might be because we do not pay attention to the spelling errors, But thank you so much for your help, i hope we will get those letters this upcoming week. Is it easy to find jobs around there , or do you think i should not even work during the school period due to load of classes , and excessive amount of time to dedicate to study times. On the e-mail you have mentioned they have furnished places does that counts for apartments only or dorms also. because they said we can bring sheets for bed, quilt, etc.. laundry bags, fan, bowls and all , do you think we really need all that. And also when you have said that the tuition is around 3000 dollars is it tuition plus fee based on the number of credits or what? Thank you for your answer

The apartments are furnished. And yes if you stay in the dorm you will need all of that, because they just give you a bed, dresser, and desk. It's bare. You will need your own items. No, I know people have typos, but I'm talking about when you say "am new here" or something similar. I'm black, no worries, I'm just picking up on how some of the African students english is, and don't worry, one of my best friends is Nigerian, I'm not making fun, or calling you out, it was just something I noticed. If you want to work, do it. But I would only work PRN. That is what I did, which meant I only had to work one shift per month, but I could work as much as I wanted. Some months when I had a lot going on, I just worked once, but in other months I worked 8 to 10 shifts, it just depends on my schedule. I liked that flexibility. Tuition is based on the amount of credit hours you take. You will have your basic fees applied to your tuition, then its added to how many nursing credit hours you have. It use to be $30 per credit hour.

I'm just saying be careful of this school. It's slowly falling apart. Just do what you have to, and get out. It's a lot of unfair treatment going on, particularly with students of minority, and international students. Just keep to yourself, stay focused, get your degree and LEAVE. If I would have knew what I knew now, I would have took my acceptance to SFA. I'm not trying to scare any of you, but to prepare you, so you won't be surprised. Just take your acceptance and thank God he has given you this opportunity to succeed and become a RN. Be ready for tough days, tests, and tribulations, but those will all turn into messages about a Testimony. Just stay focused.

Thank you prettyladie for the input. And Btw no, no hard feelings because if you were even making fun you would show in your writing and would not even help us. Yes, I am not planning on staying there , its just because of this opportunity that I just decided to go ahead and do it. When you PRN is it part-time RN or what, and do you need experience to do so, or is there any job you could recommend. So if i understand well in the final tuition, we have the basic one for the school , then adds up with the one for each nursing credit, on top of which I could add dorm, car registration, books, meal plan. etc... ?

Well thanks for all the information and advice prettyladie. I'm just gonna go to the school with a clear mind and do my best but one thing i know is that if God helped me get admission then he will help me go through the program successfully. Also, I would stay focus and work hard, I just hope professors just dont decide to fail people because of race/ethnicity. I spoke to other friends in the program but they did not say such things i guess they want me to come experience it.

LeanClassic Well said He gave us the opportunity to get in, he will give the opportunity to get out successfully. So how are you preparing for your stay there If you are not from WF,

i would be staying in the apartments around the school sinces it cheaper than staying in school. I figured the cost will be like $800 less in the aparment than the school dorm/aparments. But am waiting to see the letter before i go to WF to pay the deposit. I have friends there who told me about the apartments. if you need anymore info or help finding i can ask her to look. Between i would be needing a study partner lol.

Ahhha you right we need buddie for study group girl. when you say $800 or less is it per semester or per month , because if its per month its not cheaper because when I looked up online on the school's website it ranges from 1300 and above per semester for dorms but apartment are a bit pricey. So let me know unless I do not have all info i may call the school admission office to be sure because I am trying to figure out how much fund i will need so my parents and I could see we can budget out the fee.

Well maybe your friends arent as observant as I am. But I wouldnt lie. But yes, just go with a positive mind. Check out The Grove apartments, its off campus, but lots of students stay there. Also, French Quarters, Colony Park, Wellington on the Lake, Tealwood, LaDonna Place, Brentwood.

$800 per semester, here is the full detail from what my friend pays $500 for two room and two bathroom,(would need someone to share with) water is free and then electricity could be $50 per month which she said it could be that much only in the summer because of air conditioner running. for this particular aparment u will pay like $80 for internet a SEMESTER, divided by two with your room mate its like $40 each a semester, additional $30 international student smth but u do not have to be an international student to live there because am not but u have to pay it to live there. you can calculate your feeding and gas etc Remember that the apartments are not the best but manageable.
