@lorr19 I also got a merit scholarship from admission the same day they sent my acceptance letter out, so I already sent the acceptance form for that scholarship back to them! :) Yeah I emailed financial aid and she said once I fill my fafsa and get my award from them then she can look at my stuff and see if she can make an exception for me based on the fact that I have to put my tax stuff on there and I make a lot of money at the job I have, but if I go to school down there I won't have a job most likely. I also called admission about the phi theta kappa scholarship and the lady I talked to, I believe it was Leah Hickman, said that to get that scholarship you have to bring or send a official transcript to them and on the transcript it should say that you are a member. I don't think they accept just the certificate to get the money, so I emailed the group at TCC and asked how I could get it stated on my transcript that I am a member and a woman named Shawna Gaccetta told me had to make an appointment with her, bring your certificate with you and then you and her will go to the registrar office and before they seal the transcript up they will let her put a stamp on it stating your a member then you can give it to Midwestern Admission not financial aid! That was the lady told me she said financial aid doesn't handle phi theta kappa scholarship admission does. I know you can email Ms. Gaccetta her email is [email protected]

I passed my Hesi the first time, thank God! I got a composite score 88 for english and 98 for math. I cant wait to be able to turn in my application and go visit. Did you set up an appointment to tour the campus? Yeah I really want to go to scholarship office so I can find out about more, hopefully they have more than what on the website. PLease share your experience when you visit the school whenever you get back I love to hear about everything!

@keunnamonae thanks for that info. I already sent an email to Shawna, hopefully she responds before Monday or Tuesday, else I would just call her. Congrats on your hesi, that was good. Am pretty sure we would all get financial aid, I just hope I would get enough, that would pay for housing. I would be depositing for housing when I go there on Friday and I would let you know how it went. When would you be going to turn your application?

@lorr19 She responded pretty fast to me so I would say tomorrow she will definitely respond. Thank you! Yeah I am sure we will get something but I want it to be enough to cover everything or atleast my housing and tuition. Yeah I put my deposit down for housing last week, so hopefully we wont have problems getting in the apartment we want since we did it early. Have you done your Fafsa yet? I know the priority deadline is March 1st other schools is usually April 1st so I need to do mine asap! OK great cant wait to hear, and I cant go until my last 8 week class is over on March 22 so I probably go that Friday March 27 to turn in my app right before its due. Hopefully my prof will have the grade in before that friday.

@keunnamonae I see. We shouldn't have a problem, with the housing since we doing it really early. I would go to the housing office aswell. I have started my fafsa, but haven't finished it, because my mum hadn't filled her taxes. She has filed it now, so I will continue it today. March 1st is pretty fast for it to be due, but oh well I would get it done so I know how much am eligible for. I think we would be fine, coz we are getting the merit based scholarship, ptk scholarship aswell and that's 3000 total. Financial aid would cover our fees and hopefully housing. Would be so happy if they did. Then I would just continue to be saving for my upkeep, for the first semester and maybe second aswell. Am so excited to start this journey with everyone here. Hopefully we all see in the coming months. Where you able to put the name of the persons, you want to live with you on the housing lease agreement?

@lorr19 Yeah I haven't filled mine yet because my mom still hasn't done her taxes either. So I am all over her to get them done now so I can submit before the priority deadline. Yeah its good but it divided over the year so I hope financial aid will give rest to cover. Yeah I am saving right now. Yes you can put down roommates on the housing application just make sure you know their mustang ID to put it down on the app. I just left mine blank because I don't know anybody lol

hey guys, i thought the application would be available on the schools website on feb 15, but its saying its not available. where do i find the application and how do i apply. can someone explain to me the process?

@tsiondesta2 the only way to apply I believe is through the online app on the website. I know it is saying it is not available right now but I am guessing it is because it is the weekend. It will most likely go live tomorrow, and I say if it doesn't by tomorrow night I would call the office the next day. That is was I was planning, but I'm pretty sure it is just not live because it is the weekend and they will make it go live tomorrow since everyone will be back at school.

So I went to Midwestern state university today . I met mrs Rudy so she can recalculate my points and then summit my application. She told me, I have 79 points and then I submitted my application to her. She opened it and kept on her desk. She wasn't really friendly at all. Maybe she had a bad day. I don't even know; but anyways the school is great and big. There's nothing there basically just a few stores around but I love it still. I toured the campus with a current student there. Class sizes are small, all the buildings are close to each other. I visited mustang village aswell, so so pretty. I was told since we paid through MSU housing, we would be living in a three bedroom apartment with two other roommates. Sad but oh well, it is what jt is. Mustang village is like 5 minutes from the school. The bus, comes every hour, to take students to different places. Having a car would be a plus. Mrs Rudy said, we should get an acceptance letters by April or early may.

@lorr19 since you completed the application, i was wondering the application you submitted is the one you fond online, on the MSU page right? there isn't additional other forms. I'm only asking because i read somewhere from currents student that the applications were so long, but the one i found were so short and simple.
