Midwestern State Fall 2015

Published

Hey everyone! I've become interested in applying for MWSU for Fall 2015, but I have yet to see any threads about it so I decided to start one myself! Could anyone help me with their point system?

This forum created, is for students applying for the fall 2015 program. You can check out housing on the schools website. But I heard mustang village is nice to live in, plus it's all bills paid. As for the hesi exam, buy the hesi text book, on amazon, it's the third edition. Also you can buy a maths text called davis basic math review. Its very good for more practice on the math section, if you have problems with math or need more practice. I took the hesi last year and it was pretty basic and easy too.. You all planning to write it soon, will do just fine.

I created a Facebook page a while back if there's anyone not on it one for MSU nursing and one for books so we can buy sell and trade books

@lorr19 was there a basic calculator on the hesi a2 for the math section when you took it?

Yes you be allowed to use d calculator thats in the computer

@lorr19 ok thats great, thank you!

To those of you that have already taken the Hesi exam, is there a calculator on the computer for the math section that is available to use at ALL times or does it only pop up for certain math questions to use ?

also, is foreign language needed? I didn't take any since high school and Catherine didn't say anything about it, but other people are saying that its needed .. help

@tsiondesta2. Theres a calculator to use on the computer all through the math section and for each question. U dont need a foreign language, I dont know who's telling you that. I didn't take any and have completed all the classes Midwestern requires for the bsn nursing program. Mrs Catherine already told me my points, you should email or call her

@tsiondesta2 there is no foreign language required. if you go online on midwestern nursing page and find the 2012-2014 degree plan it shows all the classes required. But only the nursing prerequisites are required before you start the program.

also when and where are you taking your hesi? I'm taking mine Feb. 6

I think what your getting confused on is, you can take a 2 semester sequence of a foreign language to satisfy the 2 humanities credits that you need but it does not have to be a foreign language. You could also take worl/ british literature, philosphy, world civilization, or any course like that to satisify the 2 humanities credit.

@keunnamonae thanks for the clarification. I already took Brit lit so i should be good. I'm taking my Hesi exam on Jan 30th. i'm very nervous since I'm very weak at math.
