Middle Georgia Applicants Fall 2014

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Okay, Lets get it started! Who has applied to Middle Georgia College for Fall 2014? If you don't mind me asking, what is your GPA and Hesi scores? My GPA is 3.8 and my Hesi score was 82 over all with an 80 in Reading and an 86 in math! Does anyone know what they base their decision on? More on GPA than Hesi? The wait is going to kill me! Is anyone already in the BSN program that can tell me how it is?

They don't but I'll be living off campus regardless. This will be my second degree and I have a dog:) You definitely should google maps Cochran...it's a very small town with very little to do. The campus is nice, though. Seems like there are only a few little stores and fast food restaurants. Went there for my HESI and it is very rural/small town if that. Not a bad thing but I need to live in a more populated area!

And that's what I'm afraid of.....small/rural towns...lol(being that I'm from and live in Atlanta). If the WR had housing...I'd MOST DEFINITELY stay there. I took my HESI at that campus and I liked the area. Though it is a small town, it kind of reminded me of the area I live in now.

I live in atlanta, too. Warner Robins has some apartment options nearby campus. The nursing program is the same at both so maybe you could change your campus?

Are these apartments with the school?

Does anyone know if we are required to take the clinical calculations course?

No the apartments in Warner Robins are not affiliated with the school. There is not any student housing on or off campus at Warner Robins that I am aware of.

Hi, flowers123. When did you apply for the BSN program? I applied second round -- submitted online 04/16 & completed the HESI on 04/28.

Nursing Program GPA: 3.4 (I'm a Transfer/Non-traditional Student. I have registered to take my 3 missing courses, electives, this summer @ MGSC: BIOL 1005, PSYC 2103, & SOCI 1101.)

HESI: 96% Overall (96.67 English; 94% Math)

Who else is waiting? What are your stats? When did you apply? (Join in, please. We could all use a way to pass the waiting time....!)

Well, the "New" Fall Semester Deadline for applications was yesterday, May 12, 2014. Maybe there will be some updates for the waiters out there soon......

So I just received a letter asking if I'm interested in taking NURS 1300-Clinical Calculation for Summer 2014. Has anyone gotten this letter as well? Is anyone planning on attending?

I also got the letter! I have registered for the Clinical Calculations course. I was planning on taking that class even before I got this letter. As for the Nursing 3200 class, Im just going to wait until Fall semester. I really cant afford to take it anyway and most of all I really could use a break this summer. I have been going every semester including summers for the last 2 years and Im pooped! I have asked some Nursing friends of mine and they highly recommend taking the dosage calculations class. It will help us in the Fall. Not sure about the Physical Assessment course. What are yours and others thoughts on this? Lora-BSN
