Middle Georgia Applicants Fall 2014

Okay, Lets get it started! Who has applied to Middle Georgia College for Fall 2014? If you don't mind me asking, what is your GPA and Hesi scores? My GPA is 3.8 and my Hesi score was 82 over all with an 80 in Reading and an 86 in math! Does anyone know what they base their decision on? More on GPA than Hesi? The wait is going to kill me! Is anyone already in the BSN program that can tell me how it is?

I got in at Mercer University in Atlanta but idk if i should keep waiting because the advisors are so rude they dont even answer questions! but anyways I think my nursing and overall gpa is a 3.2

Hello! I'm thinking about moving to Macon I wanted to do the practical nursing program at Cgtc, but I see I'm missing 4 pre reqs for middle ga state RN program. Would you ladies have any info or advice about middle ga state and moving to macon? Thanks

I also got the letter! I have registered for the Clinical Calculations course. I was planning on taking that class even before I got this letter. As for the Nursing 3200 class, Im just going to wait until Fall semester. I really cant afford to take it anyway and most of all I really could use a break this summer. I have been going every semester including summers for the last 2 years and Im pooped! I have asked some Nursing friends of mine and they highly recommend taking the dosage calculations class. It will help us in the Fall. Not sure about the Physical Assessment course. What are yours and others thoughts on this? Lora-BSN

Amen to the needed summer break...lol!!! I'd wouldn't mind taking the class during the summer, but it's not working in my favor right now. Let us know how it goes!!! :)

Hi. Summer will be my first semester taking courses at MGS, so I'm probably not the best to tell you about the college. I have 3 missing prereqs for BSN which is why I'm taking summer courses. I've lived in Macon only 7 months, but I spent 4 years in middle GA years ago while completing my BS at another university. I met my husband while here, so we were happy when he landed employment and we returned to the area.

I would recommend going ahead and doing the RN program at MGSC. I'm in the program now going on to 2nd semester and it's been great. I've also been in the LPN program at CGTC (didn't finish bc of pregnancy)and I feel that it was more intense than the RN program. Just an opinion !!!

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe they're just offering it to so many students who knows. I thought about calling the advisor to ask but changed my mind. Just waiting to take this last class this summer and start the program in the Fall.

I called today to see if they had mailed out second round BSN letters and the lady I spoke with had not gotten word. Does anyone know any updates?
