*microbiology Summer 07*

Hi All!

I peeked and didn't see a thread for those of us brave souls attempting micro this summer so I thought I would just start one! My class starts July 2nd, but I'm already getting a little freaked about it! ANYWHO! Good luck and let's all keep in touch!

Im taking Micro and Medical Terminology both 8 week courses and start on May 29th. Ive already got all the books and yea it looks like a bit much!

I start Micro and AP2 on Monday. I've gone through the AP2 lab book and it seems doable. I just took AP1 and the textbook is the same, just the lab book changes. The Micro book and lab book terrify me...I had a week and a half between spring and summer semester. I am so not looking forward to this. People think I'm crazy for taking them together, but if I don't, I have to wait a year and a half to even start nursing, with no other classes to take. Good luck to you all :)

hello i started a micro thread for summer but it got lost some how, anyway the more the better. i am starting class next week on the 22nd only taking micro on tuesday and thursdays this is a 10 week class. wish me luck and good luck to each and every one of you.

Don't sweat it. I took Micro. a couple of years ago in the Summer. It, to me, was an easy class. Not to mention a blast. It was a total eye opener though when we cultured a local Pizza restaurant’s “All you can eat” buffet. Nasty!!! :uhoh21:

I loved culturing other things though and watching to see what grew. It was pretty cool. Good luck, I know you’ll do fine though.

I start Tuesday- T&H 6p-10:20p from now until July 27th.

My book was $237!!!!!!! I am not looking forward to this, I took bio last summer and got an A, and did A&P I & II got an A in both- but for some reason micro is frightening me. I am not good with a microscope- I can never get the darn thing focused right. Yes add me to the FT job and multiple kids list. So needless to say my summer does not involve a vacation this year.

Hello All!

I'm glad to see that I'm not alone! I too have kiddos to take care of on top of everything else. Although my mother-in-law will be helping me with them while I'm in school which is great. I guess I always kind of freak out before I start a new string of classes because I have a 4.0 GPA and I REALLY want to keep it that way! :uhoh21: On top of it all I'm also taking psych this summer but the two classes only overlap by 2 weeks which shouldn't be TOO bad.. I hope! Anyone else taking psych this summer also? I was reading over last summers mico thread and everyone was worried when they started and it seemed like they all ended up doing really great so we can hope and pray the same for us! I know we have it in us!!! :yeah:

Thanz Jenzee! I'm sure I will love the class. I really liked bio so hopefully that will carry over. From what I hear the teacher doesnt give a whole lot of homework, so that makes me happy!! :lol2:

I've got 4 little ones as well. Have faith in yourself, you'll do great. I was surprised at how easy the class was really. I got an A and that was with me missing 2 weeks of school with having my gallbladder out. If you need anything don't hesitate to fire me off a message.
