Hello all, I was wondering if anyone will be taking Microbiology in the spring..if so I thought it would be a good idea to start a new thread for the new yr for this particular class. I figured that we can all be able to post questions and answers here regarding the class or just to talk about anything regarding micro.
I will be starting my Micro class on tuesday im going to edison state college in fort myers fl. Im very excited and also a little nervous to be starting school after a semester break.
* I look forward to see who else will be starting micro this spring and I hope we can all be able to help each other out throughout the semester
I had my first micro class this evening. It actually doesn't seem so bad. The teacher made sure to tell us that she would work with us as far as our schedules go and that she knows we are all attempting to apply to some program ( nursing school, dental hygeine). She has put up both the lecture as well as lecture highlights. She has also given us key point questions that we will be tested over. I hope this good feeling lasts all semester. Continued luck to all you students!!!
nope, I get mine from a pd site that came with my book. I do have an index card app on my ipod that has access to all kinds of flash cards including micro stuff. The app cost 1.99 but after that you have free access to flashcard libraries, you can make your own or download from a library. not sure i can type the name of the app here but search for it if you have an apple device.
I am taking Micro! Lecture on T/Th 5:30-6:45 & lab Mondays at 7 pm.
I am a student at Anne Arundel Community College in MD. I want to transfer next spring to University of Maryland Baltimore or Towson U to get my bachelors of science in nursing
My class so far has not been toooo terrible. There's been 2 lectures & 1 lab. I have been taking my assigned reading seriously & making LOTS of flashcards already. I will not settle for less than a B!
Will definitely be on this thread ALOT. good luck everyone!!
I'm also taking Micro this semester. :) I'm kind of nervous, but I don't think it will be too bad. We've already done 6 labs in 2 days, but they were all pretty easy labs so far. I'm kind of nervous because our grade is 33% midterm, 33% final, and 34% lab. I'm looking forward to using this thread A LOT this semester. lol

I started jan 9. It is overwhelming lindsayk728 . My lecture professor gives us the outline of her slides, so I use that to make notes, read in advance so when I go to class it's my second time seeing the material. We also have access to an interactive online testing bank which helps in memorizes key concepts. Check your textbook to see if there are any online resources you could use.
