Hi ya'll! Anybody taking Micro this coming fall semester and want to form a study group? I did this for A&P I and II and it helped tremendously! I'm taking it along with Chem 1151 (Survey of Chem). Thanks!
Well we got homework on the first day (last monday) which is due tomorrow. Chapter 2 is over chemistry and to save time we are completly skipping over that chapter - but to make sure we know chemistry, she gave us 45 questions to answer about it. I've got almost all of it done, but am stuck on a few questions. Its convalent and ionic bonding that I just cannot get (like why they can dissolve in water).
But the rest of the actual micro stuff is pretty interesting to me so far.
I start Micro tomorrow on Sept. 3. Our lab book cost $102.50. It is spiral bound and paper back. I was kind of shocked at the price. I am looking forward to Micro, although I have had it before but it was too old so I am taking it again now. I am also interested in an online study group. Any takers?
hey Yalll....I must say that I just got out of lab class couple hours ago. Today was my second lab class. So far i find it to be very interesting. We are looking at simple stain slides, looking for psuedomonous and Staph. Well like i said "for now its going alright" hopefully i can say that later on down.
Good luck guys catsch u later...

You wouldn't happen to be using Laboratory Exercises in Organismal and Molecular Microbiology would you?
Good luck! You'll do great!!!
I've got Micro tonight and I'm going early to turn in my application to the nursing school...I'm so nervous and excited all at the same time...it's a long shot but I'm really praying I get in and can start nursing school in January! Letters are supposed to go out mid-to-late October.

Can't say too much about micro yet...Lecture was very interesting the other day. In lab, we started to look at the letter 'e' under the microscope, just to get used to using it, but I never could see it! And lab was over before she could get around to me (lots of people were having that problem).
I am pleased that A&P and micro do seem to complement each other, so far. By the time we started looking at microscopes in micro lab, I had already been introduced to the ones in A&P lab, and there's only a few differences between them. The nutrition class I am taking also seems to kind of go along with the other two classes. That's go to be a plus.
