micro and a&p II in one semester?

Published

would you suggest I take micro and a&p II in one spring semester? or one in the spring and other in the following summer? if so which one in spring. thanks so much..i'm sure these type of threads are becoming annoying to some ppl.

I'm taking both in the spring plus 2 other classes.

I took A&P I and Micro, along with two other science classes and pulled it off well. I think it's a personal decision where you have to honestly evaluate the time and attention you have to devote to your studies. I knew I could pull it off, because it was pretty much all I was going to do all semester, all day, every day--study and kids, that was my life. And even then, it was hard. But if you're working, your kids aren't in school yet or your attention is going to be elsewhere, then I would tread carefully. It's also important to think about your study habits, if they're well established at this point or a work in progress.

So it's possible, but whether or not you're successful depends on many factors that are particular to your individual situation.

I did it and it wasn't to bad but if you do decide to take one in the summer I would choose Micro just because A&P requires so much more memorization. I think the more time you have to go over all of that stuff the better off you are. Good Luck!!!

Neither one is too hard, so you can do it. If you were talking about a & p 1, I would advise against it, but the physiology part of it isn't as bad. Good luck!

I took a & p 1 nd micro together along with 3 other classes. I was pregnant at the time and had a two year old at home. I managed to getall A's. Ask me how I did it? Open lab faithfully and taking on extra credit whenever offered. I never missed any assignments. Goodluck

dang Virgo love u are pretty intelligent..thanks everyone for the advice..I will probably take both in spring so that I can just chill that summer b4 nursing school starts

You can do it! Go ahead and take both together. I just finished my semester taking both of those class plus two others and I did well. Taking the classes together actually helped me because at certain points they complement each other, helping you to understand things better.

Best of luck :)

I did it too, along with some others! I had 3 little kids and delivered the fourth during finals week! I honestly don't know how I did it, but if you are committed you can too!

I did it! With a few other classes at the same time as well...and it was no problem!

I would strongly advice that you not do it. Trust me, I did the same thing and got two C's in bother classes which i need to retake. It is a lot of info and will require a lot of studying.

Just because you got two C's doesn't mean that will be anyone else's outcome. These two classes (assuming the labs are included also) only amount to 8 credit hours. This isn't even near full time, and students across the nation handle class-loads like this, and more often heavier, every semester.

Taking 8 hours or 16 hours like many fulltime students do require motivation and organization. Planning and study skills have to be fine tuned, but it is very doable. If you are struggling with the non-nursing prereqs, it may be a good time to review your study habits.
