I'm taking both micro and A&P II this quarter. I need a B and a B- to pass. I'm full of anxiety because I have C's in both the classes.
I know I need to do perfect on everything we do from now on and I have to do really well on the final. I'm just having such a hard time getting the information to stay in my head. I'm so bad at memorizing information so it's even harder to do well on the tests. I'm so worried that I won't pass the classes and then I won't be able to get into nursing school!

I did them both at the same time. You just have to work your tail off. You want to be a nurse? Hit is hard. If a test doesn't go well..LEARN from it. Study more...change study methods. Always do self analysis on what works and what doesn't work. What you don't want to do is "freak out". First it is unprofessional. If you become a nurse maintaining your composure in stressful situations is number one. Working psych I have had patients threaten to gut me alive. Not showing panic and staying calm is VITAL. Remember..you are the professional. Act like it.

I feel your anxiety! I am taking Biology and Psychology and I need a 3.0 in both for them to qualify for the nursing program and currently I am holding my own. I would encourage you to study, study and study. I am reading the textbook, lecture notes, and viewing information on youtube. I also study with classmates, use a tutor and have met with my professor about the information. The tutor for biology has been extremely helpful and meeting with my professor lets her know I am serious about the class and I want to learn the information. I wish you the best of luck with your classes and I hope you pass.

It usually isn't recommended that you take both of the courses together since they are, in my experience, the most difficult pre reqs I had to take. I relied heavily on learning objectives and note cards. I don't know what text book you have or what teacher but I do know that my textbook had learning objectives before each chapter/section. I would write the learning objective down and then answer it in great detail. I would then listen to the lecture I recorded on the same topic and put the most important information on a flashcard with the learning objective as a questions. This method was time consuming but I received A's in both A&P 1&2 using this method. Also, prepare before class. Read through vocabulary words on the system you are about to learn in order to familiarize yourself with the material, that also helps it sink in. Good luck!

Why would you go to the learning disability office for a panic attack?
Hmm anxiety attack .. i went to their offices right now and i got a paper that my doctor has to fill out so I can get special acommodation =)
I'm registered with disability because I have a chronic illness, so I get extended time for tests, which definitely is a HUGE help.
I have had an anxiety disorder most of my life, and I have never considered it to be a learning disability which is why I was confused, but fair enough.
