Hello everyone!
I just graduated with my RN and will have my BSN in May 2013
I was wondering if anyone can give me advice! I am a new grad and I am relocating from Orlando to Miami, Florida. (because of my husbands job!)
I am running into the same thing that (everyone else has run into!) all jobs require experience!
That being said- ALLLLLLLL of the connections that I have made along the way are now USELESS because I am moving
Do you know of a hospital that is hiring GNs?
A hospital that might post "experience required" but still offers positions to GNs?
A hospital that I may not have seen online during my search?
A nursing home/LTC that is hiring (& not too terrible lol)
Or a floor that is in need of nurses?
any insider information that you may have gotten from doing your own search?
Baptist South Miami has a versant program- the application is no where to be found! & jobs posted required experience
and. . . University of Miami is only accepting applications from UM graduates
In the mean time, I am going to work a home health agency until I move BUT I would love to have something secured before moving (Miami is $$ so pricey!!)
Thank you everyone!!

Have you looked into Long Term Acute Care hospitals? Take a look at this forum.....
Long Term Acute Care (LTAC/LTACH) and LTAC's in that area.
Thanks! I will do that :)

Don't bother with Baptist Hospital. They will only get you with 1 year experience. Even if you have 9 months experience, they will not hire you.
I have friends who got jobs in Jackson North--they got paid ER residencies. They just had an open house. Check their website and see if you can get on their mailing list for upcoming events.
My other gf got a job at Kendall Regional, NG residency for medsurg with sim lab and weeks of classes,.
Mount Sinai gets a ton of new grads. Huge residency program, but very short(6-7 weeks, no sim lab, just preceptor & a few days of class).
Also try rehab facilities, like the one in Coral Gables. They hired an old friend of mine. Good luck guys!
