Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

I just got off the phone with mdc advisement and they said nursing acceptance letters will be the end of this month early November. I asked about this week he said no, no letters will be going out this week.

It is definitely much easier to work and go to school with some programs more than others. I was reading the forum from the Fall class and some of them posted their schedules. I was hoping to work also but after looking at the Accelerated program that's impossible with my job. For some reason I'm not allowed to post the pic of the schedule on here. PM me if you want to see or you can just search the fall forum.

They say the same thing every year. Its just so people will stop calling until they have made the decision. This year may be different because they have no admission exam, so probably lots of extra applicants.

When I applied, the advisor told me towards the end of October. Looks like we're gonna have to wait a little longer.

I really hope they do send them out this week -I am dying to know already! And we need time to do a million things before school starts so we need time. Most of us work full time I think, at least I do. I need time to ask for the days off.

I also signed up for the CPR at North November 1 just in case all the spots get filled too soon :) Hopefully I won't have to cancel it!

I certainly hope this is the week; we need time to get prepared ...cpr training, the physical, accommodate out schedules and buy the things we need for the term. we havr to spend some money; the sooner the better ! I got this email from MDC about an hour ago but I guess I'm so tired of waiting I didn't even get excited I am done with the stress (

I called today and they told me that they are going to start calling people late October and early November

I believe they are saying that for people to stop calling and getting anxious. I have called three times in the past and everyone tells me a different thing; they all say they don't have idea but to keep checking my emails. One of them told me at the end of the month but this year it's just based on the GPA and nothing else I don't see a reason for them to take longer than previous Years. My guess is 99 % by Tuesday (1rst round of acceptance letters).
