Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

I have. I've gotten three. I'm getting them on eBay. Used books but they look brand new and have zero highlighting/writing in it. I got the the fundamentals for $50 another for $25 and the other for $60. It's a matter of having the patience to search for good books

I got (bought) some of my books from Amazon . They were not that expensive; excellent conditions. As Maddy mentioned just have to be patient and try to find the best deals )- mine were around $25 - $50 each.

I was wondering the same thing but I'm assuming the test taking course would be day three. The amount of material we have to complete has me freaking out. This week and next week I have four finals. :-(

Has anyone started text purchasing books?

I purchased the medical terminology book the other day. I have all the books for the entire program. I even purchased the new edition of the Saunders comprehensive nclex review book.

I emailed the professors for the syllabus and only the lab professor replied back. We have our first exam 1/20 on procedures and head to toe assessment. It also included a 10 page care plan that we need to bring every week to clinicals

Thanks for the response. I was just on Amazon and the prices I saw were more than what you all mentioned. I am going to check eBay. When you buy books, do you buy the ones with codes, or do you take it regardless?

It says that we don't need access codes but if you have it I guess it doesn't hurt. Saveontextbooks.com will search and compare prices they will even give cash back on books. I got all my books from amazon and majority from half.com. I even have the cardiology III stethoscope. You definitely have to spend time searching for the books because once there gone ypu will end up spending more money. Used books are great but becareful with that since you will be creating your own notes and highlighting.

I brought a nice clipboard that opens for clinicals but I love the foldable clipboard, so I will get one of those as well. I started watching youtube video's on study tips and advance for the nursing program. I love HeyRona, Nurse Nacole and ifitNurse these three young ladies are very helpful and informative
