Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Published

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

Cum 2.6 science 3.1

I have Transition to Nursing with Maury MT 8am

Intro to Math/Pharmacology T 2-3p

Transition to Nursing Lab/clinicals with Connie Miller RF 7am

Do u know how long is the program?

My AS cumulative is 2.94 so not really sure which gpa that considered.

The program is 3 semesters. We have 3 classes 11 credits in January and 21 credits in the summer.

I hope I get in next semester

Don't give up. This was my second time applying and I got it. They seem to get the most applications in the fall so I stuck with the trend and only applied to spring term. There won't be an extrance exam for the fall so keep your receipt and re-apply

I will have a 3.70 overall and 3.45 science I don't know if that will be enough for bridge in the fall term

For the bridge definitely. If you applied generic you would probably get in second or third around.

You will be in. Dont worry. I should be worried bc I'm the only one here with a low gpa and I'm not. If you believe that you are going to be in you will

Let's start thinking positive.

We still have a long way to go. We will found out around June 2015.

For those who already has orientation, did you guys have your class cart with the classes you want before orientation? Or the day off you had to add them all and then register?

Those that registered for classes before the orientation the nursing department dropped them. You will be able to register after orientation (the day of orientation). You should go directly to the registration window right after orientation to get your ideal schedule
