Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

Hey!

Does anyone know if you have to buy the white clinical tops? I'm 4'9 and even the smallest size they had at the bookstore was huge. I'm talking like almost down to my knees. Can I just use a plain white scrub top? Or does it have to have that green border on the sleeve?

Is anyone still trying to get all the health stuff completed? I'm waiting for my blood work to come back, had to get a chest x-ray for positive PPD, and still need to get the flu shot as well.

It has to be that top...

I took my to a tailor where they cut the length they have to move the pockets but it looks the same only shorter... It fits so much better and I have one that I didn't cut just in case but in comparison they look the same only smaller size so I doubt I have a problem

I'm responding to someone asking about what program I will be applying, so here it is :Generic Full Time program my GPA at the moment is 3.91 but I'm missing Chemistry, Microbiology, Critical Thinking. Thank you for your referral to the chemistry professor

At the hospital ? I took this class at Baptist and I was a disaster. I end up getting a C and regret it. I took it with a bad professor. I should have waited.

I don't remember. He has a weird name. I'm going to see if I find my schedule or syllabus. I took it a very long time ago. I suggest not to take any classes at baptist. We are student and they treat us like if we were doctors or surgeons. Lol. And on top of that that class is really hard. I regret taking there. That the reason why my gpa is very low.

At the bookstore the lady told me they absolutely require that white top for clinicals. it's huge on me as well. I'm 5'2" and it's not flattering but it is what it is

I have uploaded all of the documents. Everything has been approved except the background check and drug test... It's been a little over a week and still says pending. I also have to do a second titer for varicella but I have to wait a few more weeks since it has to be done a month after the shot. (I am a special case because I've never had the chicken pox and up until two weeks ago I had never been vaccinated)

I'm taking critical thinking and ethics online now with Mathew schuh easyyyyyyy A I got a 98 on the class and just missing 3 assignments

Every time i want to quote something I hit like instead of quoting. Lol. Do you guys have an Abuela good at sewing. I'm sure you can have it altered

Who ever got accepted for the bridge transitional program I need to know Gpa and how long is this program? Also what would ur schedule be like
