Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

U.S.A. Florida

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

Lilian2727 I was just wondering if we can apply to the LPN Program as well ? I don't know if we can apply to both. I'm worried about my GPA. Now that there is no entrance test I guess they will accept the highest #s

Hi guys im so happy that I found this thread because I applied for mdc spring 2015 rn program but I have no idea when acceptance letters would be given out. Does any one know thanks?

Hi.... For Spring (Jan) 2015 I've heard Oct, Nov and don't get surprised if they let you know on Dec bc some students declines their seats. Im getting anxious already lol. But I will apply for Fall 2015

Well according to the forum of the people who got accepted last spring..they got their first round of acceptance letters around october 12 or 13th.

I was told that micro class does count when I went to apply, and mi hoping that they do take the highest gpa :/ I'm still hoping that my 3.1 can be good enough.

Can someone find out how many people are accepted into the program. I already applied I forgot to ask.

Thanks alot because when I went to mdc the advisor said she did not no..

Hey guys!

I saw this discussion and got a bit nostalgic lol i was in your shoes not too long ago. So here is my two cents:

My average class gpa i believe was 3.4 when we started.

We started with 60 people in my class, only 10 or so graduated on time.

I know mdc has a pretty good reputation, but the only advantage i saw to it is the price. Its very affordable, cant really beat that.

I was very "unlucky" with teachers tho: most of them were useless, confusing and annoying. Thats just my class tho, i know people who graduated after me had a different experience.

All on all, if i could do it all over again, i would go to straight bsn school

If I get accepted I dont think I'd be attending the Medical Canpus because I live down south. I'll probably end up at homestead campus. Do you kno how many people are accepted into the Homestead program. My cum is 3.77 and science is 3.8

Hi thanks for the info. How long ago did you graduate and did you attend Homestead or Medical Campus

Hi guys is anyone here thinking in Applying to NOVA?

I am interested in NSU. I am going to take Nutrition and Sociology this Fall, as they are a requirement for the program. Have you contacted someone from the school? I hope MDC is what God has planned for me, but if it isn't, I think NSU would be a great alternative. Of course it wouldn't allow for me to work sooner, but from what I hear, it is tough (not impossible) to find employment with only an ASN. What are your thoughts?
