Hi all!
I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)
Also...when I applied to the Generic Full time program..the advisor recommended that I go ahead and take a CPR and phlebotomy class....Did anyone else get recommended to take this now..I called MDC and they dont even offer phlebotomy
I know of a place that offers the CPR course and it costs less than MDC. My friend who is starting this Fall took hers there. Let me know if you want me to post the info!
Since I am going to take a CPR class at MDC this summer, which is $79.00, 6 hrs, I asked the advisor at Medical campus and she told me that is ok bc is the same that you have to take later once accepted into the program. I also registered for Fall semester with some classes which are the prerequisites for the BSN that MDC requires, just to save time. Those classes are also prerequisites for Barry so if something fails I will still be ok with plan B.
Yarita for Barry or Nova we have to finish our AA right ? Both requires an entrance test. Nova an interview I guess. They accept you even with a 3.00 GPA you have to do good on the interview and entrance. It's not that hard to be accepted. It's a private Uni so they want money. Lol...Lili is Statistics hard ? I'm not good with #s.

Oh yes It is pretty hard finding a job nowadays that accepts the AS its because of this whole economy thing. However once you get your AS at Miami Dade its jus a year more for the BS.
From what I hear Nova has a very good program....its just expensive..But it could definitely be a Plan B
