Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

I believe that's the antibodies / titers for needed say vaccination. If you've done the vaccination before, then just get the titers to see how immune you are instead of being re-vaccinated.

Does anyone know how the schedule is? Are there different set schedules to choose from or can you pick and choose individual classes?

So Mdc clinic messed up my ppd follow up appointment now I'm going to have to do the process all over again. Thank god my orientation date is the 20th. I'm still worried I won't have enough time though

Has anyone gotten a false positive for the ppd and had to do the X-ray ?

Questions for those who are going to the homestead campus. Did the orientation time change? I thought it said 830, and I looked today and it now says 9. Not sure if it changed or I just didn't pay attention.

Did you end up getting the x Ray ?

Yes. What a mission I had to go through. My orientation is the 13th and they don't get the results of the xray until next week. They told me about Tuesday - Thursday.

I'm just worried that I won't have time get approved.

I did apply for an extension though. I was told I have until the 20th.

Oh WOW! now I,m nervous ... I read from a post last year that they didn't drop people who had pending items when they had orientation .. But IDK if that's gonna be the case this year

IDK. But if by the end of next week you haven't submitted everything, I would go ahead and ask for an extension. It's better to be safe.
