Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

How do you request an extension?

You're supposed to go on Complio and where it says to upload the document for each section, you click on apply for exception. That's what I was told.

I called the medical campus though and someone helped me over the phone. [phone]

Hi, guys a question I will hopefully will get my physical papers tomorrow but 5 days ago I submitted the other papers they said approved on my complio page it is ok like that?

You should be on top of the xray place.

I had mine done on Thursday. I would call all the time. They had my results ready Monday morning. I asked if they could send them to the school and they did right away. I was able to do my physical today

Or you can go directly to the nursing department and speak to someone, that's what I did today

Hey Melz after they measured you for the ppd, did you get the chest X-ray that same day ? And was it done at the MDC campus ?

No you have to go to a place close to MDC and they do it there I called and had the app the next morning it takes about a week maybe less you have to call to check if you want it as soon as possible, thanks god I upload all my paperwork today hope to be compliant next week

I was able to get an appt the same day. I had gone to the clinic at like 9 so when they told me to call the xray place it was still pretty early and I was able to schedule the appt.

The place is like 10 minutes away from MDC.

After you get it done call them to see if the have the results the day after. Mine took about a day.

I called yesterday morning and they had the results. I asked them to fax it to the school and they did right away.

Yayyy I am finally compliant guys ready for registration the 19. It is journey, a expensive one, but not impossible :)
