Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

It is very basic study the hesi book and you will be fine for the chemistry and biology, for vocabulary study quizlet and the book. The problem with the calculator was that I didn't know that the division sign was /and I was so nervious that didn't called anyone. Do you think I have a chance with overall 81.8?

OMG for sure !!! That's a great score. Let's hope for the best. Thank you for the tips. Will keep you all posted.

Yes, 85 or 86 is awesome. I read all the treats from previous years when they used the teas and everybody with combined 80 and above got in and some with less too we have to see how many people apply. I did my HESI 8\5 and the girl the work there told me only 130 had done it. But a lot of people leave for last minute or repeated. Are you applying too?

Yes, that s true, but I also read that the HESI is easier than the teas....

Ram16, I also read it too but remember this is the first year of the test a lot of people ran away for the test and also a lot of people doesn't apply for spring, lets hope for the best, let us know how is the admission the day that you applying :yes:

Yes, lets hope for the best....I m going to apply on 08/31, after I retake the HESI...I thought you have applied already or not? in case you did, how was the admission?

Yes, I applied, 8/6, you get to the admission and check in the touch screen and the advisor got my test result's paper check the my grades and everything was ok for me to apply and give me another one to pay the 25 for generic full time on the 2do floor them I went with the paper back I fill like 3 other papers with my personal information, sign them and that's it, very easy and fast but the advisor told me that the last week of registration will be a war there so let us know every detail, :sarcastic:

I take the Hesi this Friday, am nervous this is my second time taking it I am praying for a 90 and above :(

What is your science GPA and fist HESI score
