Miami Dade College (MDC) Spring 2013 Gen. FT/PT& Accelerated Nursing program

Hi all,

I've just handed in my application to MDC for Spring '13.

Right now I'm overall score is 82 but I'm planning on retaking the TEAS in August to improve that.

If anyone has a book list from previous students, please send. I'd love to get cracking.

Okay went and turned in my acceptance today, went through the health clinic and am doing my background check now. I went to the Nursing Dept because my TB test and CPR Class won't be done on time since the class is next weekend and the clinic can't do the tb because they are closed Monday...the person i spoke to at the dept said just to show you are in process of those things and I should be fine.

This question may have been answered already but who would I have to speak to for an extension on turning in all my health records, papers, etc.? They don't really give us much time. Received my provisional acceptance email on Thurs. but everything must be turned in by Wed.?!? That's crazyyyy, at least for me it is

Got an e-mail from an accelerated nursing program student who said basically the program requires 100% attention but can be done.

Started on the books think I'll be selling some back before Jan. Will post the extras I have on the fb page when I have access.

hi everyone, just wanted to post that i accepted the full time gen.- homestead. However i do have a question:

If i turned all the info needed for the phlebotomy program this fall semester, would i have to redo all the paper work?

@emdee I did the same thing as long as you have copies you can turn the copies the only difference is the drug test the for phlebotomy is a 7panel and for nursing it is a 10panel so you would just have to do a new drug test. and TB has to be with in 6months.

Congrats to everyone who got it to a program! I haven't been able to check the site for a while b/c my boys both got sick, further slowing down my paperwork as far as physical and drug screening stuff:poop:...hopefully i can get them to accept it later this week. Any thoughts? Oh and Josh, awesome job on the fb page!

@emdee89 at the health clinic at miami dade medical it's like 15 bucks and you do it right away just walk in but they only open Monday wednesday and Friday

MDC medical charges $45 for the 10 panel. But it's quick and easy and back in like 2 days. But yes, they're only open mon wed and fri.

I only had to pay $15 cause I had already done the 7panel there @emdee89 if that's where you did yours for phlebotomy make sure you tell them that cause they will adjust the price for you.
