Miami Dade College (MDC) Fall 2012 Full-time/Part-time Nursing program

Published

Hey everyone,

I just wanted to start a thread for people interested in the MDC nursing program for fall 2012. I think if you shared your scores (TEAS V & GPA) and what track your applying to (full-time or part-time), it will give everyone an idea of where they stand.

I will start:

I have a 3.7 GPA and an 81% on the TEAS and looking to apply for the part-time program. I have the option of taking the TEAS 2 more times which I will be doing :)

has anyone done the achieve module yet??? if so how long did it take you?

I did it. It takes about 2 hours to complete because you have to actually watch all the videos since the report shows exactly the amount of time expended on each module. A little boring but very easy

Only 30 more days until class starts!!

a little confused from reading past threads. the first day of class we wear our green scrubs correct? the student handbook area about uniforms seems to be a little outdated so I'm not sure

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. What to wear on which days. Gonna ask on Monday.

Don't know if it's the same for all the options but at Homestead Generic orientation they told us to wear green tops and bottoms for class on campus each day and white top green pants for clinicals.

Yeah they told us to wear Green top and pants for all classes (+lab coat for lab) and white top green pants for clinicals.

They didn't seem to really mention the lab coat for us Homestead people.....

I think they said they would email us with their decision regarding the lab coat.

So we don't Need to buy the lab coat?? :s

does anyone know if on nurse logic after we do the lesson part do we only do beginners test or do we also have to do the advanced? the questions on there are things they dont go over in the lesson so do they purposely want us to score bad on those?

Don't know if it's the same for all the options but at Homestead Generic orientation they told us to wear green tops and bottoms for class on campus each day and white top green pants for clinicals.

At Medical campus they told us the same, green top for class, white for clinicals.
