MGH IHP DE NP 2018

Hi There!

Thought I'd start a thread for anyone applying for Fall 2018 entry. I'm about 3/4 of my way through the application and feeling a bit anxious and nervous about it all but mostly excited! :)

My application is marked as "verified" in NursingCAS but I haven't received an official email from MGH that my application is under review. Anyone else who submitted by Jan 1 still waiting for an official email?

Yes I haven't received an official "under review" email either - from MGH or NursingCAS

I received an official email on January 18th.

I just called to check, and was told that I'll get an email that my application is under review once they've completed the prerequisite check on my application. She said they expect admissions decisions to go out late February or early March.

I've been so nervous about my application! I called today to see when decisions might go out, and they said that it will most likely be in March. All this waiting is torture!

Anyone else unnervingly anxious today - the past 3 years MGH decisions have been released on the first Tuesday of February despite admissions saying late Feb/mid March...

That's interesting! I'm not sure if in previous years they have extended the deadline as well but it could be possible that this year they will get back to us late seeing as how they want to expand their applicant pool. In the meantime, I will try to keep happy thoughts lol.

I called MGH yesterday to ask about decision notification and they said they were on track to release them mid to late MARCH. (Also in a boat where I have to submit a deposit to BC before I hear from other schools so not ideal).

Interesting because I called yesterday as well and was told 6-8 weeks from your submission deadline, which for January 1 would be mid to late February. It seems like admission may not have a full idea about when decisions will actually be released by individual departments.
