MGH BSN 2012

Hi all! Anyone else out there apply for the MGH Accelerated BSN class starting in January of 2012? I've read that some people who were waitlisted for the cohort starting this month were offered spots in the Jan 2012 class, so I'm wondering how many people were offered and accepted that option... hopefully that doesn't cut down on the spots available too significantly. But, I also wonder if not as many people were aware they opened up this new class, so maybe fewer applicants?? Or maybe that's just wishful thinking :)

Okay, I'm getting really anxious!! I am SO hoping that we are going to hear at the 8-week mark! If so, less than 2 weeks to go!! :clown:

I know ~ I can't believe the website still says they are accepting applications! I'm just hoping that means good things for those of us who have our application in already!!:up:

this would be the 8th week right?!?? hoping we will find out soon!! ive already put a deposit down at another school and might have to make a big decision if i get accepted!

Well, I was hopeful that we'd be hearing sooner rather than later, buuuut I got an email today back from someone in the admissions office - she said they extended the deadline to July 1st, and would therefore be extending the review process as well :(. She didn't say how long they'd be extending it for, so maybe (hopefully!) it won't be a full 8-10 weeks from July 1st, but I guess potentially it could be September before we know. The suspense is killing me!!

What a bummer! I called admissions less than a month ago and they told me those who applied by the May 1st deadline would hear within the normal 8-10 week time frame--Guess that has changed. I have been anxiously awaiting some sort of news. Ohh the anticipation--guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed a bit longer! Here's to hoping for positive and speedy news!

Heres what i got today via email......

We estimate that the 8-10 time frame will still be met, meaning decisions

hopefully will be ready in the middle of July.

i received a similar response this morning from the admissions office:

by all accounts, the decision turnaround will still fall into the 8-10 week timeframe for the may 1st deadline, even for more recently received applications. i would estimate we would have the decisions ready by the middle of july.

so, it may not be next week, but should be not too much longer!!:yeah:

best of luck to everyone! hopefully, we'll all be meeting each other at orientation in a few months!!
