Is anyone else applying to the MGH Accelerated BSN program for Summer 2015? How is everyone feeling about it??
Hi, everyone! Congratulations to all who were accepted. I was also accepted, and if I attend I'll be moving from Seattle. I'm also stressed about finances as I graduated from a Jesuit school in a bit of debt already. Thanks for all the info about the living situation in Boston. Super helpful.
Yeah I agree...one of my friends said to me the other day...we all have debt, make yours count. Although I have a good chunk of debt I do want to be a nurse so I have to take the risk, and I'm grateful that my previous debt is federal so taking out this program on private won't be completely horrible.
Sure! You can if you'd like! I'm 100% sure at this point - I'm going to just turn off my brain as far as money worrying lol. If you aren't really that sure I don't mind making a group...but I have not paid my deposit yet. Will do so, just wish it was cheaper. Simmons was only 250, which I was surprised by!
i think the former...
@ SKay226. Hopefully we'll be classmates and i'm sure we'll get along great!
i just wish i knew, so i could make a final decision and give others on waitlist my spot if i can as early as possible. called up one other school i applied to and they said they haven't even started reviewing apps for fall @_@.
Yeah that is tough...I haven't heard from a MSN program that I applied to - but it was just another app that I did for "fun", don't really need all that debt or the MSN just yet. It makes it so tough to make decisions when you haven't heard from other schools. I got into Simmons but haven't heard anything about financial aide and I'm not sure when I will. I might contact them first if I have time before putting down the deposit, but I like MGH better.

Also don't listen to online sites (Google) or people who lived in Boston 10-15 years ago about what areas are safe/not safe. The cheaper areas sometimes have a bad reputation but are very different than they once were. It is a city, take it all with a grain of salt.
