does anyone have any info about when we should be hearing back from admissions?

kt1986: That's exciting to say that we are classmates! I am still in shock that I got in!! This was my number 1 choice. Yes, I responded right away. They told me additional information will follow. I will be paying with the assistance of the MA Army National Guard and hopefully financial aid :( Kt1986: When do we need apply for FAFSA for our January 2012 enrollment? It's an awesome program but suuuppperr expensive :/

allymaryturner12 : for those starting january 2012, the 2011-2012 fafsa should be completed. when are deposits due?

To all who were accepted..Congrats!!!

I was also accepted into the program and am so very excited, but also extremely nervous! I was just wondering..concerning the prerequisites for getting into the class..did all of you take chemistry and/or organic chemistry as part of the requirements? Thanks!!

Specializes in none yet!.

Hello everyone! I was also accepted into the ABSN program! I am very excited, but very nervous about cost of the program, as well as the cost of living in Boston (I am from TN where the cost of living is relatively low).

Has anyone heard anything from Northeastern 2012 yet? Thanks!! Congrats to everyone who got in to MGH : )

Hi all! I was waitlisted for the MGH ABSN program to begin in May, but I didn't get the option for early admission to the January 2012 cohort. So, I'm just having to wait (very impatiently!!) Does anyone know anything about the waitlist yet? I know deposits for accepted students were due January 28, so I'm wondering if maybe some spots opened up with people who decided to go elsewhere? MGH is so vague about the waitlist and not letting you know where you stand. I wish I could know SOMETHING! ANYTHING! This is my top choice, so I would SO love to hear some good news. Has anyone heard anything from them yet?

GAgirlinMA... I'm in the same boat :( waitlisted with no option for January. How did you find out about the deposit deadline? I'm going to try to find out some info, I'll let you know what I find out.

sabine: I noticed in the waitlist FAQs on the Institute website that they said you could send them updated grades from any classes that were in progress when you submitted your application, so emailed the admissions office to let them know my grades and tacked that question onto the end. I wasn't sure if they would respond, since we aren't really supposed to contact with questions about the waitlist, but someone graciously answered my question! :D

Let me know if you find out anything else! I'm dying to know something! :banghead:

Did anybody attend the info. session this month?? Anything useful?? By the way.. I still haven't received anything about our orientation date yet. Just to make sure, it's on MAY 16, CORRECT???

Hi everyone!

I chose to start the ABSN program in january! I'm so excited!

I'm from California so I am not familiar with Boston at all...does anyone know of a good place to look for housing? Thanks!

hi hilary9!

i am from california too!!! (san diego) and im apartment hunting right now (moving a 6 months early so i can get used to the city b4 we get crazy busy with school :p ) There are some really awesome rentals in charlestown navy yard area that are basically across the street from school. I am looking into Parris Landing or Harborview at the Navy Yard. These even have a free shuttle that takes you to MGH affiliated hospitals across town also. Other than that I'm just as lost as you when it comes to Boston. The only way I know how to navigate is finding the big pink square on google maps (MGH) and going from there lol.

oh and i forgot to say Padmapper.com is a really good website for apartment hunting. You basically put in what you want and it pulls craigslist...etc ads and puts them on an easy map for you to check out. Hope this helps!
