Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi Everyone,

I figured since every other cohort has started message boards about the application process it might be helpful to start one here as well! Has anyone applied to MGH for the January 2017 start In the accelerated nursing program? I've heard a lot of great things about the program and work with 5 nurses who have come from this program as well.

I figured we could all share our experiences and qualifications here.. Good luck to all! I'm so anxious, September can't come soon enough...

I feel impatient too but it's also like they're literally waiting until the 11th hour!! So much anticipation!

Another 5pm EST comes and goes :nailbiting:

For those of you who are obsessively refreshing everything every minute of the day, are y'all just logged into applyyourself.com? Is there a specific page where you think a decision will pop up? I saw that in past years some folks have been able to see their decisions before an email has gone out.

Stay strong everybody!

i know for other schools where I have applied through applyyourself that there will be a button that says view decision. if you get in there should also be an option on the main screen to pay your deposit

I keep going back and forth between my email and applyyourself. I just log back in to applyyourself each time - my computer has my log in info saved so it's super fast.

Some prior threads noted people got their emails at 8pm EST so we'll see.

Tomorrow marks the ten week mark I believe! Hopefully we will all be getting emails ☺️

I just called the admissions office and spoke to Kate - she said the decisions will be posted "early next week" but didn't have any more information. At least I won't be checking my email as often today! Have a nice weekend everyone.

Well that's disappointing...I'm just curious why it takes 11 weeks to make a decision. Umass gets tons of applicants as well but has decisions out within a month. Seems so strange.

It's definitely disappointing and frustrating. She really didn't go into any other info about number of applications or why they were backed up and I was a little deflated so I didn't think to ask any other questions. I'm going to keep checking my email just in case.

it is strange that it takes so long. Curry's turn around time is one month as well. The anticipation is killer!!

When I called I was told it was over 500 applicants for only a cohort of 100. Also they give students the opportunity to finish any prerequisites before making a final decision. Best of luck to all !

Wow! 500 applicants is a lot. It still would have been nice to get a generic update email stating that decisions would be sent out later due to such a high volume. Hopefully soon!!

when they told you there were 500 applicants did they say when we should expect decisions? Last I heard was early this week. Is that the info you got?
