Mercy Hospital (Miami) LPN-RN

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone,

I'm looking into bridging into this program and wanted to know if there are any students out there (current or former) that would be able to provide information for this program. Such as quality of program, difficulty getting in, etc.... I do know that they are now accredited by ACEN. Any information would be great.

Thank you

Hi JackieMichelle,

Good to hear and congratulations on your LPN!!! ?

What book and where did you buy it? I was told the test was just basic reading and basic math. ? ummm now you say there's A&P.

How did you choose Mercy? What are the specific factors that drew you there? What do you wish were different?

How would MDC be different from Mercy?

Can you work during the LPN program? 2 days clinicals 1 day class?

What are the clinicals like? How is the training for: L&D, Peds, ER ?

Good Morning to all. I too applied for the August 2019 nursing cohort for Mercy LPN-RN program and haven’t from them as well. Look forward to hearing from them soon as August is right around the corner.

Did you hear anything? Going to the school Thursday as I haven’t heard. I had paid deposit for May and have confioenail about deferment til the August start.

Hey. How much deposit did you have to put down, if you don’t mind me asking.

It was $1400 deposit

I’m getting nervous as to why nothing has been sent out with August around the corner. I need to plan with work my new schedule. Last time it was a lot to get everything together in the month they give you. Unfortunately personal issue came up and I had to defer.

Sorry to hear about having to defer. Life happens. I’m also nervous as well because I heard from administration that this was going to be their last LPN to RN transition program. After that . They will only have the RN generic program starting in January. That’s crazy that they only give people a month to get things together like we have other obligations too. August is less than a month away and o don’t want to call them everyday because that’s annoying but they gotta let people know

I know I’m trying to figure it out. My LPN program I worked full-time plus school 5 days a week. I do home health so I have the ability to make my own schedule to a degree but I have patients that I can’t switch their visits around so I need those days covered.

I didn’t know they were going generic only that’s crazy. Wonder why though the are getting rid of the bridge.

They did mention that at the mandatory orientation, but didn’t say exactly why they were getting rid of it. I just wish they would send those emails out already.
