Mercy Hospital (Miami) LPN-RN

Published

Hello everyone,

I'm looking into bridging into this program and wanted to know if there are any students out there (current or former) that would be able to provide information for this program. Such as quality of program, difficulty getting in, etc.... I do know that they are now accredited by ACEN. Any information would be great.

Thank you

Who has taken the entrance exam to get into the LPN program ? ?

I am a recent graduate of Mercy! I graduated April 29th. The entrance exam is not hard and the program is great.

That’s awesome ! Congrats to you . Any advice for the program ? And also did u work full time or part time while in the program?

Thank you! The best advice is to take notes. Some instructors let you record and when they do RECORD! This helped me tremendously with the test. I worked Per diem with 2 jobs but I also had my boyfriend helping me financially. I know several people who worked full time during the program so it is possible

How is the schedule for the second and third semester? Is it the same as the first 2 lecture days and one clinical?

Taking all the advice in. Thank you again!

I’m currently in the LPN program.

Hi JackieMichelle!

Great to hear from you! How/Why did you choose the Mercy program?

Are you just completing the LPN program? ? If so, how has it been ?

What have you loved about it? What do you wish were different?

Will you go on to do the RN year?

What kinds of questions were on your LPN entry test ? ?

Also, what was on the LPN entry test ? ?

I did the Lpn to Rn.. took boards April 3rd and passed with 75 questions. I don’t know much about the LPN program sorry.

I’m currently completing the LPN program it finishes in April. We are on clinical two days , one day lecture.

The entrance exam was pretty straight forward. I actually bought the book they recommend and that’s all I studied.

The questions for reading are like comprehension. The math is mostly percents and decimals.

The science is the thing that is most difficult in my opinion. There’s biology some anatomy. Every bit of everything.

As for the RN program I’m thinking of staying at Mercy but I’m also thinking of MDC.

Well see where the future takes me haha.

Hope this helped.
