Mercy College ABSN 19 NY

Hi I'm creating a group for all the people who got accepted to Mercy ABSN fall 2019 in ny . It's a new program which also help out transfer CNR student finish there degree and I hope we could shared our thoughts for other incoming students. I was called around July 9th and told I was accepted and waiting for my officially letter package in the mail. I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

Thank you for the information. Ordering clothing online is ify because every company makes their clothing sizes different. I order my uniform today. I'll keep you posted of any new information. I'm meeting with Paul tomorrow.

May I ask who did you take for Microbiology or best professor for that class at mercy and any advice because I finish my perquisites I just need to take the exam to get into the nursing program ?

I took all my prerequisites at Lehman college before applying to Mercy college. I didn't take an entry exam for nursing because I originally applied to College of New Rochelle.

Hi everyone!

Im new to this forum so not sure if im posting in the correct section ?

I applied to Mercy’s ABSN program sometime in May I think it was and as of today have yet to receive an acceptance or a rejection letter. (they never even let me know they received my application prior to me calling and confirming with admissions ) ... I spoke to admissions and they told me to call Paul Reed , I spoke to Paul today and he told me that my GPA was over a 3.0 and that I met the criteria for the program and my application was sent to the nursing department for review and he would get back to me by wednesday next week with an answer ... But I dont understand how this is going to work because its already August and I would most likely need to rearrange my work schedule, and pay for the fall semester, and register for classes in a very short amount of time (assuming I get accepted) ...

is anyone else in the same situation??

Hey! Yup I spoke to Paul last week and he said I would get an answer this week and then I called him today and he said I would get an answer next week ?. But he definitely gave you more hope than he gave me because I have a 2.99 and he said that admissions is only looking at 3.0 and above and that 300 students applied but only 90 get accepted but not to give up yet but also don’t hold my breath soooo I’m just going to assume that’s a big fat no for me lol

Guys, please be persistent! I kept calling Paul every other day to get an answer. He gave me the same answer, "I'll call you back."

I met with Paul this past Monday in the afternoon. I told him, people have a life schedule to rearranged and work schedule to change in advance. He said they were having issues with registration because their computers were down. Mercy needs to work faster to get people notify.

Oh wow , honestly I feel like those 90 seats are filled already but maybe they’ll accept for the next session ??‍♀️ ...

Yess !! Exactly I have my work schedule for september already my supervisor would not be happy if I told her I went back to school so last minute ... and also what about paying the tuition its so much to do to start so soon ..

Yes he told me on tues he would call me wednesday to speak about my GPA , he never called so I called him and then he told me I would have an answer from nursing by next wednesday and when I asked if I could call him he said I can but its not necessary so we’ll see !

Hello, I was accepted for fall semester but probably going to defer for summer because it’s just too much too fast. Does anyone know how much this program is in total? Those who have done the financial process?

I applied July 1st. Didn't hear anything and got concerned so I called, they said my essay and one of my transcripts were missing. Sent those in two weeks ago and still nothing. Called Paul today, he said I should know by next week. I'm not exactly sure what to do if I end up getting accepted because this is all so last minute. It's extremely frustrating not knowing what's going on

I think its around 45K for tuition.
