Mercy College ABSN 19 NY

Nursing Students School Programs

Updated:   Published

Hi I'm creating a group for all the people who got accepted to Mercy ABSN fall 2019 in ny . It's a new program which also help out transfer CNR student finish there degree and I hope we could shared our thoughts for other incoming students. I was called around July 9th and told I was accepted and waiting for my officially letter package in the mail. I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

Hello,

Congrats and thanks for making this group! I was just accepted but I am trying to decide if I want to attend Mercy or CMSV. I don't have much info on Mercy ABSN because it's a new program. Also I couldn't find the total cost of the program. I saw how much per a semester, but I couldn't figure out all the fees and such.

its up to you i just got a call to register next week

I wonder when they’ll sent out the next round of acceptance or rejection letters because i have received either one and it’s killing meee

im pretty sure you'll get in it a fairly new accelerated program. I believe when i was told about it they said they were accepting 90 students.

Hey do you guys think a 4 credit science course is enough to boost up my overall gpa average? My prerequisites average is a 3.2 but my Bachelors degree average is 2.7 which right now puts me at a 2.9. I’m thinking of taking a class during the fall to raise up my gpa and then reapplying for the spring semester, but I don’t know if one class will be enough but my schedule also doesn’t allow me to take more than one class.

did u hear from mercy yet? I believe is u gotta push for A or a couple of B+ to boost it up.

I’m thinking of taking general bio since I haven’t taken it for almost 10 years. I definitely need to push for an A I just have no clue how classes are calculated into gpas so I don’t know if one class would be enough. I haven’t heard anything from mercy yet. I’m probably their last resort if they don’t have enough students registered.

I think an A in a 4 credit class gives you a good chance at raising your science GPA. It would be even better if you could retake a class to replace the grade.

To be sure I’d have to know the classes that are being weighed, how many credits they are, and the grades

According to Mercy they’re looking at

Microbiology: B

Anatomy and Physiology 2: B

Genetics or Chem: B+

Developmental Psych: A

All the sciences I took are all 4 credits. The psych class is the only 3 credit course.

Okay so your science GPA would be boosted to about 3.5 if you retook Micro or A&P and got an A
