I just received a call that I was accepted! For anyone asking my application sat incomplete for a month because I went to 2 different high schools and I only sent the transcript from where I graduated thinking it showed both schools on there and it would be okay but I emailed them and they told me I need official ones from both. So yes it’s super important to get them in and they do not review incomplete applications!!

Good luck to everyone applying!!

See they are SO confusing! I called the program and was told I wouldn’t need to submit my high school transcripts until I get accepted but this thread says differently lol.

Thank you! It was my 2nd choice I applied to Pace and was rejected after they botched my application process and then told me I waited too long. Then when I complained that it wasn’t my fault they gave me a Skype interview but usually a board member is there but it was just admission counselors I think to cover their tracks so I wouldn’t complain to the dean of admissions. They were really unorganized which is unfortunate since they’re my alma mater.

I’ve been speaking with the admissions counselor via email. His contact is located in the portal.

You're not wrong! When I got accepted this January 2020, they told me during my application process that I didn't need my high school transcript until I got accepted. So only when I got accepted did I submit my hs transcript. I submitted my high school transcript a week after my acceptance and they were okay with that. I guess they changed it for the summer and fall application.

how is your semester going so far? are the teachers good?

I emailed with ———— this am. This is what he said about the high school transcript when applying for the Accelerated Second Degree BSN.

"Your application can be processed and reviewed without your high transcript. However, should you be selected for the program, we will need official copies of all your transcripts including high school."

Hope that helps!

Thanks for being so helpful everyone, I spoke to ——— as well and he confirmed that high school transcripts are only needed after acceptance. For those who’ve been accepted/applied how many recommendation letters did you submit ? I currently have one on file now but am considering getting another one.

I asked ———— that as well...he said they are not required and so he does not review them, only the nursing department does so one should be fine.

My semester is going well so far and the teachers are really good. They care a lot and they are willing to work with you and guide you.

However, being that the program just started this school year everything has been a little unorganized, but again the professors are willing to work with you through everything.

I am willing to share my class schedule. However, please note that each semester varies. My friend who started a semester ahead of me had a completely different schedule. Their first semester had 4 days of classes through the week whereas I have 3 days. So I can't guarantee it will be similar for the next semesters to come. The program is constantly making changes.

Monday: 9:00am - 5:30pm

Wednesday: 7:00am - 12:00pm (clinical day)

Thursday: 9:00am - 6:30pm

Also, some people may have Clinicals Wednesday afternoon, Friday or even Saturday.
Books are expensive if you’re purchasing to keep but there are options that are significantly cheaper such as renting through amazon. Some things are unavoidable such as having to purchase PrepU for Pharmacology which was $150 (Everything online— book, assignments, practice quizzes) and SafeMedicate for dosage calculations ($100).

Scrubs are purchased through Meridys. School will provide that information for purchasing when the time comes. In this Spring cohort, we wear our scrubs all the time because of lab being on both Monday and Thursday. Scrubs with school logo (purchased through Meridys) must be worm to clinicals. Cheaper scrubs may be worn on non-clinical days to lab.

Our first semester is classes are

Fundamentals (Lec, Lab)

Health Assessment (Lec, Lab, Sim)

Pharmacology (Lec, Lab (online—dosage calculation)

Clinicals

Just as @OsiriaRose mentioned, this is simply our experience. With this being a newer program, things can very well change as they learn and grow.
