Merced College Applicants Fall 2019 Spring 2020

Hi everyone :) just noticed that they posted the day they are accepting applications on Merced's website! Who's applying? This will be my second try!

Omg! So what do they mean by bother cohorts are filled from the previous spring application?!?!

Does that mean they have picked everyone already? But haven’t notified?

It seems like they meant both fall 2019 and spring 2020 are filled from spring 2018 applicants.

If that's true then it's unfair for us who applied for this year. Like why get our Hope's up and tell us we can apply for fall 2019/spring 2020 when we didn't even stand a chance.

I dont know..... I know its getting more difficult! I am so upset! I feel like it will never be my turn anywhere! they did make it clear they had way more applications and many 4th time applications this year which decreases the chances for us!

So no more automatic admission for 4th time applicants either. & that would not be fair at all if they filled the seats with last years applicants! Doesn’t make any sense at all

I don’t think this cohort is filled, I think it just means that the up coming semesters are picked by the springs applicants

It is saying the applicants that applied in the spring (so spring of 2019) are being selected to fill the fall 2019/spring 2020 cohorts. So if you applied Feb 27 2019 (which is in the spring) then your application will be entered into the lottery.

Yea I don’t think they are picking for 2018 applications. I think they mean earlier this spring 2019 applications. For fall 2019 and spring 2020. Which is what they always do. They are just notifying about next years application process. For 2020 application period for fall 2020 and spring 2021

Do you guys know if anybody received their envelope back already ? From what they posted online. It sounds like they are finished selecting applicants.

Yeah I just don’t think that would make sense if they used last years applicants for this years selection pool.

No I have not heard anyone getting their envelope back. Yes it does seem like they are done selecting students. I have a feeling we will find out soon
