Hi everyone :) just noticed that they posted the day they are accepting applications on Merced's website! Who's applying? This will be my second try!
Seems like Merced is having an issue making their lottery system fair to everyone who applies. Is it fair to a first time applicant that several spots are reserved for fourth time applicants? Is it fair to a third time applicant that people get in on the first try and they have to wait another year to try and get in?
I wonder if they will do away with the lottery system all together in the future..... Not holding my breath I will get accepted at Merced. ;(

Most colleges have some sort of lottery system. Modesto and Fresno do.
Merced was the only one to have the 4th time applicant rule ??♀️
Good luck ?
Ugh it’s just also not fair to 2nd, 3rd, & 4th applicants as well because most of us have been depending on the admission for 4th application year when we could have been retaking classes, TEAS, etc while we waited. Oh well, at least there’s still a chance! I will just be retaking my courses & TEAS in the next year then if Merced denies me ?

Modesto’s program is merrit based. They organize their applicants by who has the highest points, and accepts those with the most points accumulated, like Stanislaus. And with fresno’s lottery, only the people with the highest points are put into their lottery and selected. But fingers crossed for all of us!

Not sure exactly but I think I'm in the low 60's. I'm planning on retaking my teas and start to work as an EMT and have all my transfer classes done that way o will most likely get accepted next year to mjc
