Mens Scrubs

Just an opinion, what do you currently like and dislike about current mens scrubs? the fit, comfort, pockets (lol).

lol a zipper would be pretty conveinent, do you feel as if scrub sizes are pretty true to size or do they run fairly too large?

Really depends on the brand (and the line within the brand).

I am a big guy. With Cherokee Workwear I wear a 2xl (short) bottom and a 4xl (Long) top. Tops fit great, but a little restrictive (no stretch in the material). Bottoms are OK, but again, no stretch in the material and I end up ripping the crotch.

I had some regular lenght 4xl tops and they did not fit well, so I had some 5xl regular length tops that fit good.

I got some Dickies Gen Flex in the same sizes (but they don't have short/long sizes). The top runs a bit smaller, but the material has some give to it so they do feel better (I don't like pocket placement though). The bottoms fit great (but are longer, not a big deal, just have to hem them) and the stretchy material feels great, no torn crotch on them. They are mens bottoms, but do not have a zipper fly, so I really don't like that.

I just got some Cherokee Workwear Stretch scrubs, same sizes as before (and again, no short or long options). They both were too small so I sent them back. I am waiting for the return to process so I can get the next larger size.

I used to wear Dickies but switched to Landau - much more comfortable to me.

Believe it or not but I actually thought that Scrubs were unisex for Nurses/Aides....Guess I need to open my eyes more in the store!

I though that, too.... Then I saw the bell-bottoms in a full length mirror and realized that it wasn't going for a vintage look.

:banghead:

If you buy online - def check the pockets. I got some cool ones and ended up just having one small pocket on the side?! Huge prob for me anyway.

Been getting my scrubs from AviatorScrubs for years. Highly recommend.

I buy trauma shirts and trauma pants from Aviator Scrubs. The material is much heavier than what's found in the Dickies, Cherokee, and Landau... And they have pockets galore. And they fit a guys body shape pretty well

Cherokee cargo/elastic bottoms...awesome. I have yet to find a good/consistent top that fits well and lasts. ...ahhh but how great it is to never have to wear a suit a tie a belt...

I am a fan on the Carhartt ripstop tops, nice fit. For bottoms I use the Dickies Xtreme stretch bottoms. The bigger sizes run a tad long so I had them hemmed, but having belt loops and a fly means the world.

Dickies Gen Flex are the bomb for me! Nothing like moving around and not feeling like you are in scrubs.

Any men here with wide shoulders/chest and a relatively thin waist, what do you use? I wear cherokee workwear, and they're perfect other than the sizing of the shirts for me. The size that fits my waist is usually too tight around my chest and back.

I don't even bother with scrubs. Tops - Polos with pen pocket sleeves. Bottoms - 5.11 EMS Tacticals (I'm a sucker for pocket storage).

Carhartt ripstop scrubs for sure. Mine have lasted over two years working in the ED. Lots of pockets and easy to move around in. Best part is they have a zip fly.

I've used Cherokee in the past. I liked the cargo pants with the zip fly. I switched to Jockey men's scrubs last year and love them. They have a zip fly, zip on the back pocket for my wallet. Also the material is light and not restrictive at all. Great scrubs!
