Yes, we are required to wear white nursing shoes. I had a really hard time finding anything. The shoes that were sold by our local uniform shop are actually marching band shoes! They are incredibly uncomfortable. I wore them for awhile, but then quietly switched to a pair of all-white sneakers. No one has ever said anything to me and my feet are much happier.
If you want them to last I would stay away from Walmart. My school doesn't require white "nursing" shoes but our shoes do have to be ALL white which can be difficult to find. I have had the best luck with Skecher's and New Balance as far as comfort and wear. I usually get mine at discount shoe places in malls. Stay away from Foot Locker unless you shop the sales (overpriced).
If you have to get actual nursing shoes I would look online at places like http://www.allheart.com or just search http://www.google.com for mens nursing shoes.
If you can I would go with white tennis shoes...Nursing shoes have always been uncomfortable for my feet.
Good Luck,

Dansko has men's shoes in white.
My recommendation is KSwiss. The students at my school love them, and they're a personal favo of mine as well. They make really comfortable all-white leather shoes that are very good quality and more conservative in design compared to Nike and some of the other popular brands. I paid only $45 for the last pair I bought so the price is pretty good, too.

Does your school require men to wear white nursing shoes? Mine does and I have been going nuts finding a pair. I did finally find one pair that was left in my size at a uniform store in my area, but man......what a project! Have any of you other guys have the same issue...I looked online at a few places, but the pickings are slim....especially for a white pair.
