Is it really easier for male new grad nurses to land a job?

Im a newgrad RN and just got my license but still looking for work. Most of my male classmates had found jobs already. So is it true that male new grads get a job faster than females?

Maybe try scrolling down the forum a do a bit of pre-searching first, as this has been asked a couple times recently and debunked. What gets you jobs include a hard working background, ability to network and a ton of luck. Not your pp

Just wondering, what does being a male nurse have to do with anything? Make sure you have a good resume and excellent interview skills and you should find a job. Your gender should have nothing to do with it.

Yes and No. Each place is different and has their own specific preferences as who they want to hire.

That would differ from your attitude in your work. like me. I am a male nurse and i got employed for less than 2months after being registered. so it depends on you on how you gonna dance to the tunes of the new generations.

Make nurses on my old unit were started at a higher rate for new grads, got bigger raises and made more overall.
