Memorial Hermann Summer 2016 Residency

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to start a thread for anyone out there applying to Memorial Hermann's Nurse Residency for Summer 2016!!

I haven't heard from them in a few weeks and I'm starting to get antsy and paranoid. My mind is like, "Remember that facebook post you made 9 years ago? When you were holding green beer? Maybe they found it and deleted your application."

The last time I heard from Memorial Hermann's New Hire Services was about 2 weeks ago when they sent an email with a survey. I am getting antsy, too. I wish they would give us some kind of schedule as to what we need to do and by when. I know we need to get a physical.

Same here!! Since I'm from out of state I want to know official start dates and some type of schedule at least the first week so I can plan ahead of time ugh.

But i did call and spoke with someone from new hire services in regards to me moving to Texas....from what she's saying it doesn't even look like they have started this whole pre-boarding process yet and she couldn't give me an official start date. She said they are trying to get everyone starting in July.....idk.

Maybe someone else wants to call them to see if y'all can get anymore info out of them lol. But I'm at the medical center location, Childrens specifically so idk if this goes for the other locations. Just FYI!!

I'm got an offer at the Greater Heights location. I got an email on the 27th saying we should hear from them via email or phone in 2 - 3 weeks. It's been almost 3 weeks and the only contact I've received is the survey. Does anyone on here know anyone who has experienced the onboarding at Memorial Hermann? Has anyone else heard anything?

i got the same email. But I'll be at Childrens-TMC location. I would say call HR and select the option for new hit services and speak with someone. Maybe they can give you more information than they gave me.

Yes, I accepted a job at Greater Heights, too. Have you heard anything from New Hire Services since the April 27th? Is there a Facebook group for Memorial Hermann Summer GN's. Would be great to start one!

No I haven't heard anything back from them. I also texted my friend who started working at memorial Hermann residency last summer (she's a year older) and I asked her when her start date was to maybe get an idea of ours. I'll keep ya posted what she says. But I don't think there is a fb group at least not that I know! What unit are you on?

I got offered a position on Rehab unit. I will let you know if I hear something!!
