Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to start a thread for anyone out there applying to Memorial Hermann's Nurse Residency for Summer 2016!!
Hi everyone1 I am a current nursing student graduating this December. I am interested in applying for the New Grad residency program for Memorial Hermann. I clicked on the link for information, and it mentions a specific system application that we need to apply to first to be considered for the new nurse residency program. My issue is.. I've been searching for one hour and I can't find this specific application. Can someone PLEASE help me? Here are the details:
[h=3]Cohort Information[/h]After on-boarding over 500 Graduate Nurses just this year, we are grateful for the overwhelming and positive response to the Memorial Hermann Health System Nurse Residency Program! After careful consideration, we've determined that the Fall 2016 cohort for the Memorial Hermann Nurse Residency Program will accept internal applicants only. If that changes, positions for external candidates will be posted on our website and announced on our Facebook page.
[h=3]How to Apply[/h]For your application to be considered for the System Nurse Residency Program, you must complete an application via the Memorial Hermann careers website. Please follow these steps:
Step 1: Complete an online employment application. One position is posted for all locations and specialties - only apply to this position. Submit one application only -- each applicant will be considered for all Memorial Hermann locations.
Step 2: Attach a current copy of your resume and transcript -- does not need to be an official/ sealed transcript.
Step 3: If you qualify for the System Nurse Residency Match Day interview, you will receive a separate email from [email protected] that will include a link to the Behavioral Assessment that must be completed as soon as possible. Please click the link and login with the provided username and password.
Memorial Hermann will offer Nurse Residency Match Day interviews two times per year to give new graduates an opportunity to apply for Memorial Hermann's System Nurse Residency Program. Once you've applied, a recruiter will contact you with specific dates, locations and instructions.

With graduation being in December. They probably won't open an application for the next cohort [January or February] untill late October or november. You can always call the hospital you want to make your first choice and ask to talk to the GN recruiter for that hospital and they can tell you about when it will open up
Can anyone help me!? I'm graduating this December and have already applied for the Memorial Hermann Nurse Residency Program. I was curious how long after the application deadline ends did it take for the recruiters to call or email you? What should I expect for interview questions or phone interview questions? How does the program work and is it hourly pay or stipend?
I'm sorry for all the questions! The application page is just very vague and I tried scrolling through all the comments and got bits and pieces of information.
Thank you again :)

I applied in January/February when it opened and by early March I had been called and invited to Match Day. There will be an open house in October I believe at TMC so you can see what different units offer and then match day will be later in October if I'm not mistaken. Interview questions depended on the unit and number of people applying. For the units who had what seemed like a million candidates, they were limited to maybe one or two questions in the group panel interview (you and X amount of other people interview together). In the units with fewer candidates, you had time to answer more questions. As far as the program goes, you work 3 12-hour shifts with a preceptor and go through phases that include various skills and check offs. Once you're finished with phase 4, you're a regular RN 1. You get hourly pay through the new grad program for work on the unit as well as classes you may take.
