I just wanted to start a thread for anyone out there applying to Memorial Hermann's Nurse Residency for Summer 2016!!

Did anyone apply for adult ICU and got an invite for match day ?

I'm just curious what this residency thing is. I have never heard of nursing students doing a residency program. Can someone explain this to me please? I am looking to enter chamberlain college of nursing here in Houston beginning in May. They never mentioned anything about residency programs in the summer or anything. So please someone fill me in. Thanks
