I am still waiting for my LOE. Its been just 5 days since I replied to their email.Did you receive any email after you informed them that you are agreeing to the extension?
Thank you!
emmanuel28,
my friend got his LOE this morning. He Received an extension email Dec 2... Lucky guy... I'm feeling we'll have ours this week:) keep the faith.
AHPRA does not recognize the local police and nbi clearances. You need to have the police clearances checked via Fit2Work.
Hi. I'm a newbie here. I'm fishing out info on how to start my registration. I am a UK RN but trained in the Philippines. My IELTS has lapsed so I think I should start with that? I have done the ONP as well, how does that work in terms of the education standards? Sorry I just don't really know where to start. Any help is appreciated please and thank you.
What level is your ONP? And how many credits were you awarded for it?
Hi.. I am a dependent PR (my husband as main applicant) was approved last november. If I register for ahpra do i need police and nbi clearance?
Hi Nancy. You need to submit the same set of documents as your husband did. Being a permanent resident has no effect on it. For ICHC, you need fit2work. You can refer to site site: Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - International criminal history checks

Hi Tinatin. You can start by reveiwing the following:
Before applying for AHPRA registration, first, you must meet the mandatory registration requirements for those seeking initial registration: see Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Registration Standards
1. Criminal History – see Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency - International criminal history checks on how to apply for International Criminal History Check (ICHC).
2. English Language Skills – see Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - English language skills to view detailed information about English language skill requirement.
3. Recency of Practice – see Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Recency of practice to view detailed information about recency of practice requirement.
4. Professional Indemnity Insurance Arrangements – see Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Professional indemnity insurance arrangements to more about PII arrangements. You have to commit in having a PII before you can work as RN (the employers usually handles this but you can have your own PII provided that it covers everything in AHPRA's standard). Therefore, you do not need to accomplish this for now.
Download, print, and fill out the AGOS-40 form (for internationally qualified nurses). You can find it here: Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Forms
Just ask away if you need clarification on something.
Hi,Need info please..
I am an Australian PR, also a non-practicing registered PH nurse, graduated 2008, was wondering if there are any programs for bridging/re-entry for people like me. I have zero experience.
Thanks!
Hello mate. For you to be able to qualify for a nursing bridging course, you need to have at least 450 hours of practice within the past 5 years.

Hi!
Newbie here!
I am a bit worried of my application. My agency sent all the necessary documents first week of november. Until now though , i have not gotten any email from ahpra that it was received. It has been more than a month already. :/ And i still have my COGS here with me. My agency told me to wait for ahpra email before having my COGS be mailed to them by PRC. Has anyone encountered this problem? So i know what to do.
Thanks guys!

I guess they take longer to process applications now due to large number of applicants but you can always ask your agency to send AHPRA an inquiry.
