Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines

Not always. It depends on what level your adaptation course is, if it can be considered on a par with bachelor's degree in Australia. My overseas nurses programme in the UK is only an associate degree under their terms but they probably considered my education in the Philippines as well. Did you undergo a course in Ireland?

Hi ohnodimple, thank you for your response. I did not undergo any course in Ireland. I just took the OSCE and after passing OSCE I got my Irish PIN. I was quite hesitant for the APHRA application. I have a valid academic IELTS which will expire on June 2018. Can I still make it if ever Im planning to apply by January next year? I am really hoping they could waive the bridging requirement.

Hello, buknit. It took 4 months for me to get my decision letter. I guess you could try but it's a bit risky because your IELTS is going to expire soon. Then again, perhaps your application won't take 6 months so may still make it. I have never heard about OSCEs nurses though, if they're eligible for registration. Regardless, there is no harm in trying. :)

what month and year ***** file?

Hello there! I just wanted to know if is it advisable to lodge an AHPRA Registration application 2-3 weeks before the end of the bridging course? Some of my mates want to register asap while still undegoing the bridging course saying its allowed and they are all thinking that it's better to lodge earlier so that the license will be released on time, but I don't think it makes sense at all since it will still be considered incomplete and the acquisition of a locense might take much longer for them. Any ideas? Thank you.

Hey Lorenzx13 even i am looking answer for same question. .May i know how you proceeded with registration?

A friendly advise to all who is planning to attend a bridging course or are already in it especially those attending ACN or ETEA in Sydney, DO NOT submit your re-application for registration to AHPRA Sydney office they are notoriously slow. I finished the program last month, sent my application for registration and I am still waiting until now.

i hope you got your registration..?

Just want to know about registration . .i applied my initial assessment with ahpra sydney only. .can i apply for registration somewhere else after completing my bridging . .is it not mandatory to proceed it with same ahpra office. .? I just finished my bridging . .

Hello @all,

Please, I lodged a new application for registration with AHPRA after initial withdrawal of application. I called them on 27th and was told they have received the application. Unfortunately, AHPRA has not sent me a mail to that effect. Has anyone experienced same before. I've made several efforts to get them on the phone to no avail. Should I send them a mail or just keep my fingers crossed.

Anxiety is not easy mennhhh..

hi!

I received an email from my RO yesterday

asking for a request for an extension of time in order to decide your application for general registration as Registered Nurse.

Proposed date of extension is 31 March 2018.

Anyone who received same email from their respective Registration Officers?

How many weeks or days from the mail did they issue your LOEs?

I'm praying to receive mine next week:)

Thank you!

Did you receive any email after you informed them that you are agreeing to the extension?

Thank you!
