I have started a thread in the Immigration for Immigration requirements for Australia/New Zealand
Thank you. I already got my COGS, my only problem is how to send it to AHPRA. My friend who is helping me with it is based in the Eastern Region. Is there a diplomatic quarter in Dammam?
Hi! Ask for an envelope from SCFHS then send it by yourself. Just indicate that the sender is SCFHS. It's same as how we send COGS from PRC.
Hi!Don't worry. AHPRA Melbourne will scan your uni documents in their system and your RO from Perth will have access to them too. Perhaps you can inform your RO about your situation. I'm sure it's fine. No need to resend it. Your RO may also ask AHPRA Melbourne about the authenticity of your docs by the wet ink signatures (since your RO only have the soft copy of your docs).
Hi ohnodimple..Thanks a lot for your reply and reassurance..

I'm based in riyadh.I think there is SCFHS office in dammam. Just bring your COGS there as they should be the one to send it to AHPRA.
Hi! Thanks for your replies! Appreciate it a lot. I asked a friend to visit SCFHS office and she paid for the courier fee, however, the person sending out the COGS will be available next week so she'll just go back to their office on Monday. Thanks guys! You're a great help.
Hello everyone,
I am a Registered Nurse from india with work experience from India and Dubai.
I recently applied for registration and received my eligibility letter.
I had quite alot of doubts at the beginning but, with the help of this forum everything became easy.I would like to clarify on some common doubts we come across in the application. The question numbers I mention will be from the AGOS-40 application which we use for registration with AHPRA.
Q.No. 4.Proof Of Identity: If you are applying from outside Australia only your passport copy is enough
Q.No.10.Qualifications : Only qualifications above Bachelors degree need to be mentioned.
Q.No.12.Registration History: Nursing registrations held from all the countries need to be mentioned. AHPRA needs COGS from the relevant boards.
COGS need to be sent directly from the board to AHPRA(Most of the cases we send the courier mentioning the board
as sender).
COGS from Dubai can be attained by applying on DHA website They send the COGS to our email. We need to take the
printout of CGOS and take it to the DHA office in Dubai(Google for address) where they give us an enevelop. we post it using
the envelop they give. I guess its the same with saudi, not sure though.
Q.No.13. Practise history: Mention all your work experience. Mentioning full time/part time is mandatory, no need to mention total hours. Dates of employment
and role in which you were employed need to be mentioned too.
Q.No.21.Professional indemnity insurance : Select yes
Certifying documents: Get all the documents certified by notary mentioning that they are true copies of the original.
Note:For those who are in gulf countries getting certified in home countries is cheaper
My Application process with dates:
Requested and posted COGS from India and Dubai in the month of July.
Posted my application to AHPRA melbourne on 05/08/17.
Received by AHPRA on 14/08/17(As per tracking)
Application fee deducted on 18/08/17
Received email from from RO requesting additional documents on 05/09/17(posted the documents on same day)
RO confirmed Receipt of additional documents on 18/09/17
Received email from RO requesting for extention of time to decide my application on 13/10/17
Received eligibility letter on 17/10/17.
Hope this would be of some help.Feel free to ask any questions.
Good luck to all the aussie aspirants.

Did they approve your application as registration in principle? You must be so happy that just after four days since they asked for extension, you have received your LOE. Congratulations! And thanks for taking the time to share your experience. :)
A friendly advise to all who is planning to attend a bridging course or are already in it especially those attending ACN or ETEA in Sydney, DO NOT submit your re-application for registration to AHPRA Sydney office they are notoriously slow. I finished the program last month, sent my application for registration and I am still waiting until now.
Hi there, I'm a Nursing student from ETEA, Canning Vale (Perth). I'm studying in the bridging course for AHPRA registration and I'm waiting for my unpaid clinical placement (4 weeks) at the moment. My college is gonna place me in NSW (its is far away and it's gonna disturb my visa plan). For those students who want to stay here, the college has suggested us to get in touch with local hospitals by ourselves.
Can someone help me in this matter? To whom should I discuss this matter with in the hospitals? How should I approach them (via telephone or should I visit hospitals)? Thanks

From what school did you take your bridging course?
